Nayanadhama Eye Hospital

Today I had a horrible experience with Dr Praveen. I took my aunt for the follow-up. Dr. Praveen was not in a position to sit by himself in the chair as he was intoxicated. After the cataract surgery, my aunt was not able to see clearly and there was a bubble created in the lense . Medicine given by the doctor didn't help much . Instead of asking about the Patient's problem, as Dr Praveen did the cataract surgery, he started talking something about his past life which is irrelevant to us. He vaguely wrote something on the paper and told us to get the laser treatment. His support staff told us that we could get it done today and Dr Praveen will be doing it. After seeing the doctor's condition we got frightened and left the place. To see Doctor Drama we paid Rs 300 consultation fee and got nothing out of it.

Eye specialist Dr.Praveen is well qualified and well experienced. Patients are very well treated in his hospital. Hospitality shown by the staff of this hospital is excellent. One year back I got my both the eyes operated for cataract here and my eye sight restored very well.

Dont visit this hospital, continuous two times I have noticed the issues. First time , i went there for eyesight power check and later they suggested there is power , once after wearing it I felt so much uncomfortable, they said it's new one so it will take one or two months. But even after waiting for three months it was same, later got checked in Bangalore , doctor recommended that they had given a wrong eyesight number and due to that, it had caused some sort of problem in my eyes and I used some eye drops and as well as recommended treatment from the doctor to have my eyes healthy. Second time, my sister got an eye infection and when we took her to nayanadhama doctor, she checked my sister's regular routine and mentioned this is due to stress since you study a lot( since my sister is student) and just take off for a week and relax. Later she was at home relaxing and with in three days, won't believe her eyes situation turned very bad and her entire face was swollen.. again we went to Bangalore and got her eyes checked and then the treatment was very good in Bangalore within a week she was alright. Please don't go to this hospital

I am very upset with my experience at this Hospital. I took my Mother here as her vision quality had reduced. Doctor here advised Cataract surgery and that was a right advise. But he also conducted eye pressure test and told my Mother had Glaucoma & 30% vision is irreversibly lost. I got my Mother's Cataract surgery at Prabha Eye Clinic, Bangalore and I had a great experience there. And after continuous follow up, it came out that my Mother does not have Glaucoma and never had. Nayanadhama seems to have not enough Doctors and so all the pressure is on one person (as I saw that day). He did not give enough time to each patient. And he tried to frighten me with Glaucoma and 30% irreversible vision loss, which my Mother never had.

One of best eye surgeon in Tumkur. The way of explaining the eye related problems and treatment to the patient is very good. I am so happy with his treatment,service and care towards the patients. Thank you Doctor.

Being a doctor myself I am feeling ashamed to write this review . My father undergone cataract surgery in this hospital , during surgery there is Complication so lens couldn’t be placed , it was placed after 2 months , later my father constantly developed watering from both eyes when I took my father to Banglore where I work they told Lens is displaced inside eye and there is injury to entire cornea and it needs Corneal transplant. Being a doctor myself I kw complications happen during surgery so I didn’t do anything . I felt very bad later I find out that they haven’t placed lens properly to other eyes and they miscalculated the power of IOL . This is pure medical negligence and it will be settled through legal means in due future . So before gng to this hospital be aware

Two of my relatives got operated here, hence even I told my parents to show to this doctor, this doctor doesn’t give good hope, he takes B Scan costs 2k to 3K here in this hospital it’s usually Rs 200/- in JJMC Davanagere, B Scan is kind of USG Scan which they do it on abdomen but probe is different for eye, there are too many ladies they won’t give you Bills, they won’t give u B Scan Reports, directly they will tell to operate, they don’t have explanation of IOL lens like Multifocal/Trifocal or Monofocal, none of the ladies who work here help about lens, doctor is nice to those who talk too much, but doctor doesn’t have filter, some time he makes jokes with the assistant about patient. Very rude way of talking They don’t put price board, many other hospital has even put the machine used in OT, size of Micro incision like there is 1.8mm in Bangalore, but here it’s not available cause they do Above 2mm I had to take my parents to another doctor in Bangalore for opinion, he gave all the details about IOL Lens Brand of those like bousch & Lomb or Carl Zues , pro and cons of trifocal bifocal glares and halos and not suggested for vehicle drivers, Bangalore doctor didn’t even advised B Scan, and got operated with bifocal lens in a week. Beware if you don’t want any documents related to your eye then visit this Nayanadhama. He keeps all your scan, reports and won’t give you consultation bills too. Most probably you guys have to insist. Why they do it like this cause they don’t wanna loose patients and take discredit from another doctor. All the ladies here doesn’t have a single knowledge about eye related. What I found out it all the other reviews seems to be fake, they have said this guy is best doctor, nothing else. Hope this doctor stops making comedy about patients, and be transparency of prices, bills, consultation fee, B Scan Price and reports, Lens Price, Cataract Package price And comes up with a price board.
