I had the worst experience at Ahalia Eye Hospital, Kottakkal. When I called before visiting, they clearly informed me that OP (Outpatient) services were available until 12:30 PM. Trusting their information, I reached the hospital by 12:00 PM—well within the given time. But to my shock, the staff casually informed me that OP had already closed. This kind of mismanagement and lack of responsibility is completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare facility where patients depend on accurate information. It is extremely frustrating to take the effort to reach on time, only to be turned away due to their poor coordination. The staff showed no concern or accountability for their mistake, making the experience even worse. If they cannot follow their own timing or properly communicate with patients, it raises serious questions about their professionalism and patient care. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Worst experience from Kottakkal Ahalia.They told us op is till 3 pm .when we reach there 2:45 they told us op is closed.if we call them they will told us that doctor is available whenever reach there doctor will be on surgery.poor service.when we call them customer service is really bad and they cut the call again and again. The staff who was there on April 16 Th 2:45 pm behaved very badly

During my visit, there were long wait times, and the staff appeared overwhelmed and rushed. I noticed some inconsistencies in how tests were conducted, which added to my frustration. It felt like the technicians could benefit from better training and support to match the high standards set by the doctors. Overall, while I appreciate the quality of care from the doctors, I hope the hospital addresses the issues with their technician staff to provide a more seamless experience for patients.

Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital is located near PM Auditorium in TV Tower at Chenguetty Kottakkal. Ahalia is much more than usual eye clinic where there is even facility for Eye Operation. Opticals and Medicine shops are arranged at the ground floor. There would be enormous rush inside there especially on holidays. There are 3 doctors specialised in Ophthalmology there. However their crowd management system is not much appreciable. Sometimes, we have to wait ages to get consulted with the doctor.
