My experience at this hospital was very disappointing. I had to wait nearly two hours to see the doctor, then another hour and a half for a scan. After that, I waited around four more hours just to discuss the results. There were not enough seats, so I was standing most of the time. The hospital is badly organized, and the waiting times are far too long. I don’t recommend this hospital for anyone who needs timely or comfortable care.

My mother's cataract surgery was done on May 3 at Comtrust. Before the surgery, she had almost no distance vision. After the surgery, she is now able to see everything very clearly. We are very thankful to the doctors and staff for the excellent care they provided.
A Cautionary Tale About Misdiagnosis at Comtrust Hospital I want to share my real-life experience to help others make infices when seeking medical care, especially for eye-related issues. One morning, I woke up with intensely red eyes. Concerned, I visited a local eye clinic in Pandikkad, Malappuram, where the doctor assured me it was just a normal eye rash—not conjunctivitis—and prescribed basic eye drops. However, my condition worsened, so I decided to seek a second opinion at Comtrust Hospital. At Comtrust, the doctor misdiagnosed my condition as bacterial conjunctivitis and told me it would take about a month to heal. They prescribed eye drops and ointments, but after three days, I saw no improvement. Frustrated, I visited Comtrust again, where another doctor added more medication and asked me to wait another week and continuethe medication for one month least. Two more days passed, and my condition remained the same. With only three weeks left before my scheduled departure to Saudi Arabia for work, I was desperate. A retired nurse, noticing my worsening condition, recommended Dr. Sreekanth’s Eye Clinic in Calicut. Unfortunately, Dr. Sreekanth was unavailable for two weeks, so I insisted on seeing another experienced doctor. The clinic staff arranged an appointment with Dr. Nandagopal—a true blessing in disguise. Dr. Nandagopal conducted a thorough examination and immediately identified my condition as viral conjunctivitis, not bacterial. He explained how to differentiate between the two using conjunctival gland analysis and advised me to stop the incorrect treatment. Within 48 hours, my eyes showed signs of recovery, and within five days, I was completely cured. Thanks to his expertise, I was able to travel to Saudi without any fear. My Advice: Choose Your Doctor Wisely! This experience taught me a valuable lesson: not all hospitals provide the right diagnosis, and a single misdiagnosis can prolong suffering unnecessarily. If I had continued with Comtrust’s incorrect treatment, I would have wasted weeks without improvement. If you're facing a serious eye issue, seek an experienced and knowledgeable doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Nandagopal at Dr. Sreekanth’s Eye Clinic in Calicut for his accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Final Verdict on Comtrust Hospital: 🚫 Poor diagnosis 🚫 Unnecessary medication 🚫 Long waiting hours ✅ A cautionary experience for others I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about their eye care. Always get a second opinion when in doubt!
I am Devadas, a 40-year-old resident of Mundur, Palakkad. Due to a retinal problem, I had completely lost my vision five years ago. I underwent check-ups at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai and almost all major eye hospitals in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. However, everywhere I was told that the lost vision could not be restored, and I was advised to use a white cane for the visually impaired. It was from Mr. Vinod, a native of Ernakulam, that I came to know about Comtrust Eye Hospital in Kozhikode. In November 2024, I visited Comtrust Eye Hospital and began treatment under the guidance of Dr. Seena and Dr. Dileesh. Following the eye surgery recommended by the doctors, I was able to regain around 50% of my lost vision. From being completely blind, I am now able to carry out all my daily activities independently. I received excellent care and service from the doctors and staff here. My family and I will always remain grateful to Comtrust Eye Hospital.
Doctors are good but the atmosphere sucks. The waiting area is smelly and unclean. The staffs won't communicate properly. I don't understand why there is is a booking system. For 12 pm booking you may get an appointment at 5 or 6 pm, if you are lucky. Worst experience..
The hospital is excellent, with many facilities and experienced doctors, and most of the staff are friendly. I’ve visited twice. The first time, everything was fine. However, during my second visit, the staff in the eye testing room were not polite and asked my bystander to leave, unlike the first day when the staff in another room did not do so.I think the room no. was 30 Additionally, the staff at the spectacles shop were very unprofessional. Despite not being busy, the two female staff members completely ignored us and didn’t offer any assistance. Their attitude was disappointing.
I had a very bad experience at this hospital. I had to wait around 2 hours just to consult the doctor. She then suggested a scan, which took another 1.5 hours. After that, I had to wait an additional around 4 hours just to show her the results. Most of the time, I was standing due to the lack of seating facilities. The overall management of patient flow is extremely poor, and the waiting times are unreasonable. I do not recommend this hospital if you are looking for timely and comfortable medical care.
Worst experience from this emergency op, staff's extreme irresponsible they allow only personally knowing ppl
