One of the best honestly the best government hospital. In spite of so many patients here, staff and doctors of the hospital are calm and supportive. Just remember to book your appointment online or if you can’t book it online, reach to the hospital by 0700 hrs for early appointment cause there is so much rush in the hospital. Finally, such a wonderful hospital for eye checkup and a good show by staff and doctors.

I visited this hospital for a check-up and I was impressed by the quality of the treatment and the friendliness of the doctors. However, I was not happy with the token system that they have implemented. The token only applies to take op ticket, but not to see the doctors. This means that you have to wait for a long time in a queue, unless you know someone who works here and can bypass the priority. I think this is unfair and inefficient. They should install the token system at the point where the doctors are checking the patients, so that everyone gets a fair chance to see them. Another thing that they should avoid is the medical representative in the peak time. They take up a lot of space and time, and they are not helpful for the patients. I hope they improve these aspects of their service, because otherwise they are a good hospital.

Get assured with best treatments at no cost or nominal cost, that too from good govt. doctors. But there will be a rush, so make sure that you come early to avoid long standing queues. Reach here at least by 7.30 am in the morning so that you can get an early token. Forget not to keep your op cards and other medical records with you in the subsequent visits as you may be treated by different other doctors in the next visits who will use your op card for easy understanding of your medical situation. Remind yourself that this is a pandemic time and hence avoid unnecessary visits as the covid protocols are still difficult to be followed in a government hospital like this 😕

Wheel chair and elderly friendly entrance accessible and helpful for the visually impaired . Today evening I visited the government eye hospital as my left eye was having a slight irritation and I took a OP ticket and was ushered in immediately to meet the duty doctor who steered me through the routine procedure and in 10 minutes I had my eyes examined , dirt particle removed and my eye washed . Believe it or not it didn't cost me anything for this procedure . Thanks to the duty doctor and nursing staff . Time of visit after 9 .00 pm

People from different parts of the state reached here since early morning for a better treatment. Unfortunately patients are waiting here, but doctors are out of station, may be participating in Doctors strike. Very miserable situation.
