Had two cataracts operated on, and was very impressed with Dr Leung and the team of Nurses and administrators. Everything was made very straightforward and replies to emails were all prompt. And importantly My eyesight is much better than before.

Wonderful experience - everyone from reception to the surgery room were friendly and informative. I didn’t catch the name of my nurse, but massive thank you to her as she took great care of me after I had a reaction to the local anaesthetic
Dr James Leong performed a bilateral cataract surgery op 5 weeks ago. At the consultation visit he explained in detail that there were 2 different types of lens that would be suitable for me. The std monofocal for distance or a hybrid which would give me extended dept of focus for distance, intermediate and some near vision. I decided to go with the hybrid and am thrilled with the outcome, plus having both eyes done at the same time was an added bonus as only the one hospital visit was required. The care and attention I received from reception, nurse and Dr James I could not fault, Thank you so much. From now only the only glasses I require are sun glasses.
To get into the Specialist I had an appointment with (first making sure it was wheelchair accessible), I had to have someone with me to open the large heavy doors that are manual - that is not wheelchair accessible unless a secretary can see the door and is willing to open it or they have some way of knowing I was there and again are willing to open it - neither occurred. Now the Specialist I saw couldn't have been nicer so my review is on the building and the lack of access (etc). I found I had time for a bathroom break since I'd had a long way to travel to get there, but no the bathroom was on the 8th floor, several floors above where I was. After the appt I shot up and this is where I have the biggest complaint. The only bathroom I could get into was the mobility one. Going in I found faeces on the seat at the back. There was NO form of paper handtowel or even a blower to dry hands with NOR was there any form of liquid soap or anything resembling a cleaning item like even an old barely there crust of soap. Just the sink and a dirty seat. It was DISGUSTING to say the least. I had nobody with me to go into another bathroom if there were any, and no people at all or in offices on that floor or I'd have gone and laid a complaint. Yet another building more suited for able bodied people - dare I mention the parking (they had none of their own and due to road works my support person who was to drop me off and catch up was STILL looking for a park when I'd finished my appointment. No mobility parks, plus no way onto the footpath except to drive my chair down the block on the road (did I mention it was busy with road works and cars?) and it had such a steep gradient to get up at the corner on and off the footpath even taking it at an angle, this experienced electric wheelchair driver nearly flipped herself over in the chair. 130kgs of chair on top of me & my injuries at a busy intersection would have been about the last thing I could do with. As it was I damaged my brand new chair and felt like I impacted a few discs while at it. I am really getting sick of health care specialists & professionals not accommodating their mobility-challenged clientele.
Such a great ophthalmologist/eye specialist! He is very patient, professional and kind. Dr. Maslin has operated on my mum's eye today with her cataract. I was at the theater to translate for my mum when the operation was done under local anesthetic.
Kolin is very professional and explained the condition of my eyes well. He requested blood tests to discount the possibility of a disease and was able to put my mind at ease. Highly recommended.
Very through and pleasant people good cafe on ground floor
