Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a doctor. I went to Dr Looi for a revision eyelid surgery 2 years ago. As it healed, the eyes were asymmetrical with one corner of the eye rounded and the other less and the double eyelids were slightly too far apart. Because it was a revision surgery, I knew I needed more time to heal so I waited for it to heal and saw her twice to tell her about the asymmetry. To my disbelief, she said there was nothing wrong, she couldn’t see they were asymmetrical and to add insult to injury, she actually suggested I might have some body/self image mental issues and asked if I would like to see a doctor for that. On both occasions she said that and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s a template answer she gives to dissatisfied patients or is she that blind she could not see the difference. A simple acknowledgment that the eye was not symmetrical and it happens with revision eye surgeries would have been better than this very personal attack on my sanity. If I were to go to a psychiatrist and be certified totally sane without any issues, would you, Dr Looi, then get your own eyes checked?

I'm beyond grateful to Dr. Looi for the life-changing results for my bilateral ptosis correction. During my initial consultation with Dr. Looi, she not only thoroughly explained the procedure and risks but also recommended that I undergo LASIK to correct my myopia. She also recommended to me one of the best eye surgeons. Taking her advice was the best decision ever! Dr. Looi takes a holistic approach by considering factors beyond just my ptosis condition then (e.g. continuing to wear contact lens would run the risk of developing ptosis again.) The entire process for my ptosis correction was seamless, and the care I received from Dr. Looi and her team was exceptional. Dr Audrey Looi was my surgeon for the removal of my pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland (aka benign eye tumor) and i highly recommend her. I first found her through recommendation from other ophthalmologists when seeking a second opinion for my condition. Dr Looi is professional and very skilled. During my first consultation with her, she was very patient in answering my queries and is able to explain my condition very clearly for my comprehension. My surgery was done back in SNEC and it was very successful with minimal scarring (barely visible to most people). Ava Eye Clinic is conveniently located and the staff are very friendly. Service is also prompt with Whatsapp communication and reminders. Would definitely continue to visit Dr Looi and her team.

Dr Looi’s many years of expertise and professionalism was clearly shown since my first consultation, and it was all it took for me to have ultimate confidence in her as my surgeon. I am now 3 months post op, with new eyelids Dr Looi has given me. I no longer have droopy eyelids that were bothering me for the longest time. Friends and family have also commented how nice and natural my new eyes looked, some even requested for Dr Looi’s contact after seeing my results. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Audrey Looi for her excellent care, advice, and the successful ptosis surgery she performed on me. After years of dealing with ptosis, I’m so glad I found Dr. Audrey :) From the moment I met Dr. Audrey, her meticulousness and professionalism were immediately evident. During the surgery, I could hear how detailed and serious she was in every step, which really put me at ease. Despite feeling nervous beforehand, I felt calm knowing I was in the right hands. The recovery process was faster than I expected, and I truly believe this is thanks to Dr. Audrey’s skill and experience. She followed up closely after the surgery and provided valuable advice for my recovery, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, the nurses (Brenda and Devi) are also well-trained and prompt in assisting me with any questions I had. I’m really happy with the results and no longer feel like I have "sleepy eyes." I visited Ava Eye Clinic on 3rd August 2023 to consult on an eye stye growing on my right eye. Dr Looi offered to do the chalazion removal for me on the same day. However, due to work commitments, I had to rearrange the procedure to be carried out 2 days later. The chalazion removal was a smooth one. However, I am disappointed with her nursing assistant, Devi’s mannerism and also the unspoken charges that was invoiced to me. I was invoiced 3 consultation charges. First at the initial consultation, second was during the chalazion removal and third was during the review appointment. I am unsure why I had to be charged a consultation charge of $80 during the chalazion removal scheduled 2 days after the initial consultation which I have already paid $150 for. Also, at my last review appointment, I was charged another round of eye examination for autoref/autok/oops/ccr ($45) and face photography ($15). I was already charged once for eye examination during my first initial consultation appointment. I disputed with the front desk as to why the clinic is charging me a second round of eye examination charge of $45 when this was already charged to me at the initial consultation appointment. Eventually they had the $45 eye examination charge removed but insisted that I still had to pay $15 for face photography. All these additional costs and procedures were not informed and discussed with me prior to my appointments. I feel very cheated as a patient as there were no transparency with the charges and I hope your management will look into making the necessary improvements.

It is opening up a new world for me. Never did i know, my forehead creases are formed because i was trying hard to see above. - higher than eye level. Now, i can see without tilting my head or raising my forehead and caused those ugly lines which made me looked 10 years older since young.

Overall excellent experience 🤎 I had to remove a growth in the medial canthal area and the clinic was very accommodating from the time I called to the last appointment. Doctor Audrey listens & gives space for good decision making, has superb dexterity and is very gentle with the wound. The outcome of the surgery was perfect and scarring should be minimal. Thankfully, the pathology results were good. Devi and Brenda proficiently manage the clinic's operations (eye tests, prescriptions, billing, etc) and ensure the shortest waiting time possible. Lean thinking and excellent communication demonstrated 👍🏾👍🏾
