My son had a cut in the cornea after playing with a sharp plastic toy. He couldn’t open the injured eye at all as he was in a lot of pain. Dr Yap is experienced and helped him feel better immediately by dripping the anesthesia on the injured eye. He then use the equipment to check his eye and diagnose the cut. Although the visit was expensive, it was worth it because only a specialist would have the equipment to diagnose his condition accurately. I appreciated the nurses at the counter telling me about the high consultation fee first before I committed.

Dr Yap is definitely very professional and kind towards his patients. Brought my husband not knowing the cause of redness on his right eye. dr explained to us so clearly and patiently and cleared all our doubts before leaving the room. The staff there is super friendly too. Definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend him. Thank you so much dr yap.

Visited Hougang Clinic today as it is the only clinic open on Sunday. I've got an eye infection and it hurts so I cannot wait till Monday. Google shows good reputation of Dr Yap. Doctor Yap is caring and explain every details so I have a lot of trust in him. Fee is reasonable with other specialist centre in Singapore I (I have insurance and usually visit big clinics and large private hospital in Singapore so not so worried about fee). Dr prescribed medication and I am taking it - waiting for it to get better. All in all, I have a pleasant visit. P.S. my eye is now almost fully recovered after day 2 of taking the prescribed medication. I am so glad.

This is my second visit. The first time I came in 2005, Doctor Yap helped me removed a splinter that got lodged in my eye from the DnT class in school. He was very experienced and swift in removing the splinter, and at the same time very gentle and comforting. I am immensely grateful to Doctor Yap. Today I am here again because I experienced this sharp pain in my left eye and communicated my worries of glaucoma to Doctor Yap. With his equipment and expertise, he diagnosed it as straining of my eye. If you are looking for a doctor who is thorough and armed with a gentle demeanour, I highly recommend Doctor Yap.

Dr Yap is professional and doesn't anyhow charge patients. He'd helped me manage my eye condition and never tries to sell other unnecessary products even when I enquire after reading about them. His services are expensive, yes, but I think if you compare it with other eye specialists they charge the same.

An experience and kind eye specialist. He provided very accurate diagnosis, advice and skills that saved my mom from losing her vision for her eye. He is not pushy and even take time to go through the options in terms of time, severity, impact and cost. For those who rated him poorly in this review, you may wish to know that his rates are no different from any of those specialists you visit in Paragon Medical Centres or Mt E Medical. It’s a ‘specialist’ rate if u choose to go to a Specialist! For information, the rates are clearly displayed at the registration counter, so be mentally prepared.

Brought my 18 month old to see doc. He assured us that there is no serious issue . No unnecessary medications given. Consultation fees was comparable with the other eye specialist that I hv seen beforw but this clinic did not mandate unnecessary test and charges extra for the other stuff..

Extremely rude and annoying staffs. Doctor exerting authority in a forceful manner and when i wanted to leave doctor tried to lure me with free consultation. Which would result to expensive irrelevant medication ofcourse.
