I recently had LASIK done at Lang Eye Center by Dr. Leonard Ang, and the entire experience was excellent. From start to finish, Dr. Ang and his team took great care of me—explaining every step clearly and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. It’s now been a week since the procedure, and my eyesight has been restored to nearly perfect. I’m truly grateful for the care and professionalism of the team. Highly recommend for anyone to consider Lang Eye Centre for their LASIK.

I had an amazing experience with my LASIK surgery at Lang Eye Centre. Dr. Ang and the team of nurses were incredibly reassuring and friendly, making the whole process even more positive. The eye checks took about three hours, and I was able to have the surgery on the same day. The entire experience was smooth and hassle-free, with both the doctor and counsellor providing helpful advice on the best procedure suited to my needs. I was amazed at how quickly I saw results—just five minutes after the surgery, I could see pretty clearly. I even went for a movie the same night! After a good night's rest, my vision is sharper than ever! I highly recommend Lang Eye Centre to anyone considering the procedure!

This is a belated review for my LASIK surgery at Lang Eye Centre, performed by Dr Leonard Ang on 2 Feb 2024: Some background information about my condition: I have been shortsighted since Primary 6, due to playing video games and computer games. Prior to the surgery, my prescription was -5.25 for my right eye, and -4.75 for my left eye, with mild astigmatism. I always wanted to undergo LASIK since I started working, but couldn’t make up my mind due to the overwhelming amount of information regarding the different types of LASIK, and of course, the cost. I used to think that LASIK was something really expensive (I imagined it to be at least $6k++). I was later introduced to Mei, one of the staff at Lang Eye Centre, by a colleague who had her LASIK conducted by Dr Leonard Ang. Mei patiently explained to me the different types of LASIK and their suitability. To my surprise, it wasn’t as costly as I thought! So, taking a leap of faith, I decided to book a LASIK screening with Lang Eye Centre to assess my suitability. Fast forward to the screening day, which is the starting point for everyone who wants to undergo LASIK surgery, the staff welcomed me warmly. They explained to me in detail before each station, and everything went through smoothly. At the end of the screening, I had a 1-to-1 consultation with Dr Ang, who explained to me that the thickness of my cornea is suitable for iLASIK, the most advanced and accurate LASIK procedure available. It can correct my vision down to 0.01. Thankfully, I decided to proceed with the surgery. Oh, and btw, an important reason why I have decided to do LASIK with Lang Eye Centre is that, Dr Leonard Ang is also a cornea surgeon. This is not always the case for other LASIK specialists out there. Should there be a 0.01% chance of severe side effect after the surgery, they will need to refer you to a cornea specialist to follow-up. But in Lang Eye Centre, Dr Ang can help you to fix that immediately. On the fateful day of 2 Feb, I arrived at the clinic in the afternoon as scheduled (you will need to arrive about 1.5 hrs prior to the actual surgery). Accompanied by my girlfriend and feeling really nervous (surgery on your eyes really sounds scary!), the staff performed some preparatory steps prior to the actual procedure, including: a simplified screening to double-check my eye conditions, sanitisation of the areas around my eyes, and helping me to put on the surgery gown. DURING THE ACTUAL SURGERY: Dr Ang first numbed my eyes using a type of eyedrops (I was literally shaking from that point onwards). He then adjusted the laser machine to align with my eyes. From the moment Dr Ang walked into the surgery studio, he was always comforting me, assuring me, and explaining every step of their action. The nurses kept comforting me and guiding me to relax (the aircon in the studio was really cold too LOL). During the actual surgery, I was mind-blown that I really couldn’t feel any pain at all. Dr Ang worked magic on my corneas, allowing the laser to correct the imperfections in my eyes. The process was completed quickly, with both eyes done in 15 minutes! The moment I returned to the clinic, I could already see everything so clearly and defined, more so than when I was wearing my spectacles. I went home as instructed. Although I was tearing a lot after the numbing effect wore off, I followed the instructions given and applied the given eye drops according to the required interval. The next morning when I woke up, my mind started to play the tune: A WHOLE NEW WORLD~~~~ During my 1st post-surgery consultation with Dr Ang, I was thrilled that I managed to achieve 6/4.5 vision, also known as eagle vision. No wonder I felt that I’m seeing way clearer than when I was wearing my spectacles. It has now been almost 1 month since my LASIK surgery, and I would really like to thank Dr Leonard Ang, Mei, and all the staff from Lang Eye Centre for being so professional, helpful, and accommodating throughout the process!
