I am grateful to the entire Lumin team for the exceptional care they delivered while treating my detached retina. I was visiting Singapore from New York and suddenly and unexpectedly needed emergency surgery as I was loosing sight from one eye. I went to the emergency room at Gleneagles Hospital who, fortunately for me, reached out to Dr Don who saw me at 5am. Dr Don not only advocated to get me into the operating theater promptly, he did an exceptional job in managing my post operation treatment. Dr Don and Dr Clarissa did a fantastic job with my surgery. And they also spent time with me to answer questions and make sure I understood the long term treatment plan. Being far from home I really appreciated this human touch. It is worth pointing out that the Lumin office has state of the art equipment. During follow up visits Dr Don was able to show me photographs and scans of my eye to explain exactly what had happened, how they addressed the issue, and give me a clear sense of the recovery process. He gave me confidence not only that my eye would heal, but that my sight would return to normal. In addition Lumin gave me clear documentation of my treatments to submit to my insurance, and other support material to share with my doctors back home. Overall, I would rate the quality of the treatments received and my experiences with the entire Lumin team as exceptional. Thank you all!

I visited Lumin Eye Clinic for the first time today for a comprehensive eye examination due to swelling in my right lower eyelid that had persisted for several days. As someone who is generally apprehensive about eye-related procedures, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional care and professionalism I received. Dr. Clarissa conducted a thorough examination with great attention to detail, supported by her attentive team, who reassured me throughout the process. I was diagnosed with a chalazion and was advised to undergo an incision and drainage procedure. When I expressed my anxiety, the team provided a stress ball and engaged me in conversation to help ease my nerves. Dr. Clarissa was incredibly gentle and empathetic. She informed me that the injection of the anesthetic might cause some discomfort, but thanks to her skillful approach, I hardly felt any pain. Throughout the procedure, she continuously checked on my comfort, making the experience far less daunting than I had anticipated. I recently had a chalazion surgery performed by Dr. Don and I cannot thank him and his team enough for the exceptional care I received. Recently, I had cataract and retina eye surgeries done by Dr Clarissa Cheng. She was thorough in her pre-op counselling, patiently explaining to me how the procedures would be carried out. After the operation, she was very concerned with the progress of the recovery of my eyes and would check on me regularly to ensure that my eyes healed well given that I had other eye issues which complicated the recovery process. I am glad to say that with Dr Clarissa's care, I have better eyesight now and am track towards total recovery.
