Lots of interesting interactive exhibits to explore. Appreciate the effort to make the place less daunting and more fun for kids having eye check-ups. So thoughtful~

The nurses, technicians and doctor in attendance were systematic, efficient and very supportive- offering assistance in every way. The transfers between departments were smooth and well organized. My initial fear about the SNEC system, after waiting for 2 years to finally make it to see a doctor, was dispelled. The booking of appointment system needs to be improved.

Today (25 Mar 2025) at 09.23am, my wife registered her arrival for appointment at the self-help machine. She got a SNEC Queue Chit No. A7807 for her 09.45am appointment. Then she went to find a seat. Before sitting down she heard the calling alarm for her queue no. A7807. She then promptly approached the registration counter. On arrival, she met a sour-faced Malay female counter staff who immediately questioned her quote, "Why you did not watch the Queue Number Signage? I was about to click Missed Call." How was my wife going to know that her queue number would be called within about 5 seconds from time of registration. Usually it would take about few minutes after sitting down, right? May we conclude that the subject counter staff was very rude and patient unfriendly by showing such attitude of unacceptable nature to seniors. She should receive proper counseling by her Superior immediately. Hopefully she will not repeat such poor attitude again to other patients of all ages and genders. Thank you.

I am so grateful for doctors like Dr Yvonne Chung, they are angels in scrubs. God can’t be everywhere, that’s why he puts doctors like De Yvonne Chung. She is an excellent doctor with a very kind and caring heart. So is her nurse Zhang Meng Ying. Thank you so very much, for having our back. Pt Hiranand H. Punjabi. 94 years old and cared for very well.

Very bad time management. Not felxible at all. Waited for almost 2hrs just for a consultation.( while writing im still waiting.) Tell me they follow appoinment time. If follow app timing shouldnt the tests that should be made follow app timing as well? Why test can first come first serve yet the consultation have to follow app timing? It doesnt make any sense at all. Even a uncle auntie pity me for waiting this long. The singhealth app Q track also not zun at all. Im still waiting for consultation yet the Q track tell me im on the pharmacy already. System sucks. 10 Dec Appointment system sucks to the max! When i first have my appointment all my test and consultation are on the same day suddenly today i received my next app for my next visit (May 2025) they have put my test and doctor consultation on different dates. Called the call centre immediatly after i saw my msg and ask to change it on the same date for both test and consultation, this call centre lady named ANGIE told me that according to proceedure i’m not able to because its normally prioritized to disabled and elderly of 80 and above. Like come on la. Ever since the first appointment i’ve already mention to be put on the same day for appointment be it on wed or thursday its fine as long as not on any other day eps weekends and the doc say ok? And now telling me what SOP what procedure? At the end she say to ask if she able to help me change my appointment pior to the doctor confirmation. And will give me a call in 1-2days. Then may i know whats the damn point for the whole call centre for me to change my appointment? Might as well you give me the doc number i call myself la knn. Hello wake up your damn mind can anot SNEC and SGH. Its not the first time yall anyhow put me on appointment after asking me for my preferred day. Not everybody got the time for testes and consultation on diff dates for the same sickness? More over your waiting game at snec is no kidding. Everytime have to wait over hours to get everything done. BUCK UP YOUR DAMN SYSTEM FFS Idc if yall report my review anot but thats damn well the damn truth about the system for both booking of appointment to any other small system! Buck it the damn up fot god sake. Report and remove and I’ll still have it post again !

I had my cataract done by Dr Chan Jin Hoe yesterday. My recovery is amazing. I didn't feel much discomfort and could see everything clearly on my operated eye the next day. Thank you Dr Chan and the SNEC team for helping people to see clearly again and improving the lives of many. My heartfelt gratitude for doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work!

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the remarkable staff at SNEC who have made my journey—from appointments to pre-surgery consultations and post-surgery care—an exceptionally positive experience. To Dr. Ling Li-Fang Yvonne Helen and her team, your patience, kindness, and genuine care throughout all my appointments, culminating in the surgery day and beyond, have left an indelible mark on me. I must extend special thanks to the GA team, particularly Nurse Emily, for her proactive follow-ups and reassuring demeanor during the pre-surgery phase. Her calm and comforting presence made a significant difference during a nerve-wracking time. On the day of my surgery (March 2024), I was understandably anxious and uncertain. However, the nurse at the surgery ward, a Malay female whose name I regretfully didn't catch, went above and beyond to ease my fears. Her reassuring words and supportive gesture of holding my hand provided the encouragement I needed before the procedure. I also want to commend Dr. Lim Sing Hui for her proactive and compassionate care. Her swift response to a post-surgery concern reassured both myself and my family, demonstrating her dedication to patient well-being. To the entire staff at SNEC, your exceptional care has not only earned my admiration but also my heartfelt recommendation to family, friends, and colleagues. The positive feedback on my social media updates is a testament to the outstanding service you provide. Thank you to everyone who played a role in my 1.5-year journey at SNEC. I am recovering well, thanks to your expertise and support. Your commitment to excellence has not only restored my vision but also boosted my confidence immeasurably.

I took my mom to the SNEC pre-surgery center and wanted to share our experience—both positive and negative. Positive: The young Chinese lady at the counter was friendly, patient, and helpful with my elderly mom. Negative: Long wait times: We waited 4-5 hours despite arriving early and taking a queue number. Here's why: Inexperienced staff: Some staff seemed inexperienced (maybe interns?) and struggled with the eye tests. They repeated tests multiple times and got distracted talking/complaining about something, leading to delays, other patients were after my mom and was already done. Lack of clear communication: We weren’t told about required ECGs or blood tests until my mom was asked to be in the room and we then asked the nurses. There were certainly confusion and unclear instructions about next steps. Dis-organized file handling: Patient files were left unattended for long periods, causing unnecessary delays and we saw number of patients after waiting for very long went to ask the nurses, then we see that their files were still sitting there after the eye tests. Many elderly patients, including my mom, had to wait long hours at least 4-5 hours, imagine those with pre-conditions like my mom who has diabetics and she was so worried her number might be next and refused to go toilet or have a quick bite even though she was very hungry. Long waits at counselling rooms: In rooms 1C40, a long time between patients, and sometimes no one was even in the room. Patients had to ask nurses to check on the status of their files, then things get moved. One of the uncles was saying maybe because they can earn OT as it was already past 530 or 6pm, and there wasnt even patients inside the counselling rooms at times. Repetitive instructions: Nurses repeated the same long list of instructions to every patient, even though some instructions were already in the booklet. It seemed inefficient, especially for elderly patients who might struggle to understand or read. Overall, the experience was frustrating, especially for elderly patients who may have health concerns or difficulties with mobility. We understand the challenges of the healthcare workforce in Singapore but we really hope SNEC can address these issues to improve efficiency and reduce waiting times, particularly for the elderly. Thank you.
