The weight of depression and heartbreak pressed down on me, leaving me feeling utterly broken💔. In my quest for a glimmer of hope, I turned to JIPMER Hospital, where the reality of my condition hit me like a ton of bricks. Uncurable, they said. Only three options laid before me, each laden with uncertainty and fear. C3R surgery offered a mere delay in the inevitable progression. Specialized contact lenses promised better vision but came with their own set of challenges. And eye treatments? A gamble I wasn't sure I was ready to take. I embarked on the journey with RGP contact lenses, hoping for a reprieve from the darkness that shrouded my world. Yet, instead of clarity, I found discomfort and pain. The entire team here is exceptional. I had my eyes examined and discovered that the axis in my previous prescription was off - 180 instead of 170. I purchased new glasses, which were delivered in just two days. With such a great experience, I recommended that my brother bring his daughter here for eye exams as well. It turns out that my 8 year old niece had been given the wrong prescription by another ophthalmologist, including SPH numbers (which is not supposed to be given to such a young kid), which caused her eye muscles to strain more than necessary. After receiving a new prescription and glasses here, she's now finding it much easier to read and write. She's even able to sit and study longer than before, whereas previously, she struggled to concentrate for more than 15 minutes at a time. The doctor explained everything in simple, easy to understand terms. The kids enjoy coming to the clinic because the team is fantastic at engaging with them. Plus, the clinic offers vision therapy as well.

It's a good place to get treatment for all our eye problems. I have taken 2 pair of spectacle my son. Nicely explained by the staffs over there. They deal with good brands. Absolutely thrilled and delighted with the service and results for my child's Ortho-K treatment from Savitha. From the very first consultation,She was patient, thorough, and incredibly informative. She took the time to explain the entire process to us in detail, ensuring we understood and felt comfortable every step of the way. I'm really grateful to Dr. Savita for her amazing help and guidance in helping us choose ortho-k lenses for our son. Dr. Savita's knowledge and expertise in ortho-k lenses make her a pioneer in this field. Many of us don't realize the risks of myopia, and like many others, we got glasses for our son's nearsightedness without understanding the long-term impact of having high negative power at a young age. Dr. Savita patiently explained to us how myopia develops in growing children and its significant impact in the long run. And considering the hereditary risk of retinal dislocation associated with high power in our family (in later years), this was just what we needed! We were truly amazed by all the advancements in eye care that most of us are still unaware of. There are such simple solutions like the IR masks and flippers to reduce eye strain and exercise the eyes - it was such a game-changer for my husband who was suffering from frequent headaches and dry eyes caused due to long hours on the laptop and other devices. It's been almost a month now since my son started wearing ortho-k lenses, and the improvement in his daily life is so much that he says he’s never going back to glasses! Dr. Savita has been an incredible source of guidance and support throughout this process. She's been there for us at every step, clarifying doubts and explaining numerous facts about eyesight and ortho-k. Our experience has been completely worth it, and we are deeply grateful for Dr. Savita's guidance and care. I first visited this clinic for my daughter's eye therapy and later the doctor has now become our family opthomologist for all our optical needs. Dr. Savita is a friendly doctor and judiciously educates and explains her patients too regarding their problems and solutions. Very interactive person and also her treatments are cost friendly. Her clinic also has a wide ranges of latest frame collections. I strongly recommend her.

Although I have visited many reputed eye hospitals for the past few years to get rid of the glasses, I have always been told that neither contact lenses nor laser eye surgery would work for my eyes due to their complexity, and the only option is to rely on spectacles for the rest of my life.
