We did the cataract surgery (laser) for my mother here. A huge thumbs to the doctors and the nursing staff here. The week we went we could see that each day some 100+ surgeries were simultaneously being done for seniors from old age homes alongside the patients like my mother, hence it was extremely crowded on the day of the surgery. However, the staff here are extremely dedicated and they are more empathetic to the elderly compared to the private hospital. They have multiple packages and we observed that for those who do manual, the bandage is removed the next day. Whereas for laser, they put us in a room shared by 10 more patients and monitored for 3 to 4 hours and then removed the bandage and gave us clear instructions for eye drops and then doctor saw us in the evening, and then only we were discharged. It took us almost the entire day and we were very satisfied with the service and instructions. There was a follow up the next day, after 1 week and after 3 weeks of surgery and Dr. Beena again saw us and patiently clarified all our queries. It was a hassle free process. Hospital is in general less crowded on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. 0verall very satisfied but counseling could improve and they could spend more time to explain what changes with each package, and help us choose between lenses.

I had very bad experience, staffs are very rudely speaking and I had wait 2 to 3 hr for test or doctor consultation. They are treating patients like they dogs and give no respect. I had gone for my mom's eye test . It's a FFA&OCT test in retina department, the technician there didn't give respect to my mom continuously insulting her . I tried to complaint front office they said why are you telling this to me . I noticed that they're doing free campaign it's appropriatable but just because your doing free operation, check up or anything. You can't badly treat those free patients. I saw and heard those rude words said to those patients by their staffs. I gone morning 7.30 they preparing her for test 9.30 but they didn't do test just doing eye drops. If you have patience go there but I don't recommend this place because you don't know what test they will ? how many hours do you have to wait . They won't explain what they do or what you have .
If there is a zero star I I'll give that . Worst administration, never plan their task. Clueless waiting period. Though I got appointment before a week ago. But, i have waited for the doctor more than three hours. Useless administration. If you want to check your eyes for first time, one to two hours waiting period. They did the eye check at nanganallur center and suggested to check with nuro doctor at the Pammal branch. We scheduled and went to pammal location and they did the same check up again unnecessarily Without even explaining what the problem is repeatedly the doctor suggested to do angio with out giving any background detail and they denied to share the current checkup report as well.
If there was a zero star i would give it , I had a very bitter experience with the receptionist, I wanted to book an appointment with the hospital this month so I called to the hospital they attended the call and said will confirm the date and say but even after two week of continuous following with the hospital they didn't fix an appointment for me. Very worst patient attending and poor call system. Whenever we call them for fixing an appointment they say am not the person for fixing the appointment. Literally very raged with the hospitality appointment system. It has been since 2 months I have been trying to fix the appointment with the hospital still they give the same response that they will confirm, if we ask why making this much delay they r saying that call forwarding isn't working. Rude talk towards the patient. Is the type of response they give to a patient who is in the urgent situation? Had such a bad experience . Also the special doctors aren't available all time , taking a month of time to fix an appointment but till date I haven't got my appointment fixed . pls don't take patients for granted as u r providing the service at a low cost. I would like to complain abt this and it would be better if steps will be taken for this issue. I hope the management could understand the issue and serious of this problem and hope would take steps to improve the performance of the hospital for the betterment. Thank you
The best service with care. The registration fee is rupees 100. But the service is up to the mark. To much of crowd so you need to wait for long time between each rooms for checkups. Of you want to avoid crowd, go early around 8.30AM or after 3 PM. Free pickup and drop bus service from Pallavaram on scheduled times.
Nurses, staffs and doctors are patient and well behaved to the patients and visitors. Hospital is clean, they charge 100 rupees for general eye check up. But this hospital will be crowded on most days. Eye check up will be time consuming. There's bus service from Pallavaram to this hospital
I can do better crowd management than this place.. If we are genuinely waiting because the crowd is more, it is different.. but the amount of time they take to see us is just waste of time.. they talk, see their mobile and take their own sweet time.. they simply run back and forth like there’s no direction.. Patients who are waiting to take scan is waiting forever unless they go and ask for their turn.. Just because people who come there are not educated, they treat them like nothing.. very bad experience..
