I recently had an exceptional experience at Aravind Eye Hospital. Dr. N. Venkatesh Prajna was thorough, knowledgeable, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He answered all my questions patiently and made me feel completely at ease. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I didn't have to wait long before being seen. The examination was comprehensive, and am entirely satisfied and couldn't be happier with my experience. The technicians and other staff were also very professional and patient. The entire process was seamless. I am so grateful for the excellent care I received at Aravind Eye Hospital and highly recommend them to anyone seeking expert eye care. The excellent service, skilled doctors, and a friendly atmosphere at Aravind Eye Hospital is a great asset to Madurai !!

What a legendary setup—Aravind Eye Hospital, known for world-class treatment, but when you actually need something as simple as your glass prescription in an emergency, the service disappears. I contacted patientcare@aravind.org—nobody had a clue what to do, calls were either ignored or passed around like a hot potato. The best part? The staff who did pick up had the empathy of a brick wall. Instead of helping, they straight-up said they can’t send the data and acted like I was asking for national secrets. Hats off to the attitude—if you’re into arrogance and zero patient concern, this is the place for you. Thanks for the experience, Aravind. Never coming back, and I’ll make sure my family and friends know better too.

If you have any eye problems, this is the best hospital to get treated. My mom had a rare cataract which requires manual surgery. Within 3 days operation was completed and was discharged. She's doing fine now. The only down side I would say is the time to do all the required tests. Since this hospital is famous, you could see WHOLE bunch of people, all over India trying to get the tests done. You could wait one whole day and still not the tests get done. This is the only major downside. But this is expected when you're best at what you do.

Its very economical hospital and the Uvea department doctor is excellent and very polite. Overall experience is good. But had a negative experience also. One lady doctor, I dont know her name from general ophthalmology department is so arrogant. The way she behaves with patients is very bad. Treating patients with most irreverence

My UIN NO.00230-95701. I had done first consultation on 20.02.2025 and today 12.04.2025 came for review. I am physically challenged person and left leg polio attacked. I came to hospital without any assistance. Both the time after registration a special tag "Vulnerable Patient - Immediate attention". No special attention given on both the days. Normal line only treatment given. Apart from that am diabetic patient unable to go urinal in time and moreover separate toilet is not there with usability of physically challenged person. Kindly give normal tag to physically challenged person, since giving special attention tag no use. Just now gone in vicinity new registration counter coffee stall, that women has given roughly given reply, coffee over. Please your attention is required in this aspect.
