Very professional, he was leery of diagnosing me with both glaucoma and macular degeneration because of my age and he did a lot of tests over a period of about a year to make sure everything was what it appeared to be. He is very careful and doesn't rush into anything. He knows his stuff. He has always taken the time to answer all of my questions. I do not feel like I am rushed out of the office. The office staff is always polite and helpful. The store is clean and it is in a great location.

I've been a patient of Dr. Mark Turk for...well since he opened. I drive from Gadsden for my appointments and will happily wait for him to see me; my husband does the same.
If you don't really need an eye doctor who is informed and takes his time to help you with your eye care issues then go elsewhere! If you're expecting outstanding results and a professional team working kindly with you... then these take time, but it is the worth wait.

when making an appointment for my husband and I to have a diabetic exam we were assured there would no charge for this type of exam. I specifically ask if there would be any other charges and was told no. When leaving our appointment we were told there was a $70 co-pay which we paid. Later we each received in the mail a new patient charge of $93.81 which we were never informed of. Also the doctor was unpleasant and urged me to have cataracts taken off and wouldn't even update my prescription, but after a second opinion I was told they weren't that bad and received new prescription and glasses. We will never do business there again and urge anyone looking into them to be careful.

My husband has alzheimer's and can be very mouthy! Dr. Turk is very patient and understanding with him!! And he has macula degenerative disease ! Dr. Turk has him coming in every 6 months so he can keep a close watch on his eyes!! So far it's the dry kind but he's keeping a close watch to make sure it doesn't turn into the wet kind and possibly ruining his eye sight!! Thanks Dr. Turk!!
