Extremely inept staff. Frequent staff turnover. Bad attitudes, repeatedly unable to order the correct prescription lenses. No apologies for their mistakes. There are long delays, I waited an hour on my last visit to pick up glasses and ended up leaving without them because the lenses were wrong. As soon as I got home they called me and told me my glasses were ready to be picked up but the wrong lenses were still in them. The doctor seemed to blame me for him getting my prescription wrong and made me do the eye exam a second time. Even after that the staff ordered the wrong lenses again (they kept ordering bifocals instead of progressives). So far I have been there 5 times (over 5 months) trying to get the problem resolved and I still don't have my glasses. That's a long time to go without being able to use my glasses. I am also disabled and rarely leave my home so making multiple trips to this place for nothing has put more of a strain on my health. I will add that other patients who were there when I was were also complaining about the long wait and issues they were having with the business. Stay away from this place if you need to get your glasses back in a normal amount of time.

I was a new patient there and they were so nice and helpful! It went by quickly and everyone had a great positive attitude. I really enjoyed it while I was there because everyone was helpful and explained as they went. They were also very sanitary and followed CDC guidelines. Overall a great places to get an exam and glasses! I can tell those people love their job!

The doctor was great! & very knowledgeable with my 8 year old who is just now starting to have to wear glasses. We had a really good experience. It was an end of the day appointment too and the staff was very kind and patient while we took the time to pick out his glasses (A very important decision! ) I'm so glad we found a good eye doctor for my son to reguarly see. I've been using McCalla Eye Care for several years now and I've never had a problem. I went yesterday and I noticed they had a few new people. These were the nicest people I have ever met. My daughter was getting contacts for the first time and they helped her through getting them in and taking them out and they were so kind and patient with her.

I booked an appointment 3 weeks ago & filled out the online form including insurance. When I arrived I was told my insurance could not be verified because it was Saturday so I would have to pay. Why wasn't my insurance verified before my Saturday appointment since the staff said they knew it can't be verified on Saturday? Is the staff taking my payment then charging the insurance? A tidy profit can be made by double billing.
They do not deserve even the 1 star.
I will be finding a more professional eye care center.

Some of the doctors that work here are very unprofessional.
The staff who writes up the glasses are clueless when it comes to insurance and the amount you will have to pay. My insurance allows for $500 on glass. I was told I needed to pay $150 on $200 glasses both times I have been here.
They do have good choices on the frames though.

Supper nice people until you have an isue.then when u have a warranty problem then you are screwed payed 600. For a pair of glasses with insurance now they have been discontinued and need to pic another pair now we are week 5 and we have no idea where my glasses are and they don't care see they got there money so I don't matter. Not important to them so you get better service at Walmart then this bunch

So today I walked into McCalla Eye Care just to ask a few questions. My family and I have new vision insurance and I have never been here before and just wanted to know if they take walk-ins and get more info. I wasn't acknowledged when I entered at all. Basically was just looked at. I stood there and stood there. In comes another customer who was white and she was greeted immediately and asked if she had an appt and if so sign in. I was completely ignored and I walked out. I guess this was my cue that this was not going to be the eye doctor for me. Please do better because I was disgusted.
