Anderson Eye Care

I've seen Dr. Holt a couple of times to check my eye health. I'm always very nervous about going to the doctor, but Dr. Holt put me at ease. Staff is helpful and efficient. Very pleased with my experience and intend to continue seeing him for my eye care. Highly recommend! Thank you!

I went to Anderson I care for the first time, as my previous optometrist had retired. I needed new glasses. The 2 receptionists were courteous, but they told me the exam would cost $68 and I needed to pay it up front, which I thought was odd, but I paid it, realizing I probably be paying more since I would need glasses. I was then put through numerous tests, followed by a short visit with the doctor, who said abruptly, "I can't do anything for you." He told me I had cataracts and I needed to go to Chico to get surgery on my eyes. Shortly thereafter I received a bill for almost $300 just for that exam!! This was shocking, since I was told it would cost $68 with no indication that I would need to pay more for that exam. I paid the ridiculous bill and went to another optometrist who said clearly I do not need cataract surgery and just needed new glasses, which are perfect and were ready for me in less than an hour. All I needed was a new prescription. I left there realizing I had eye exams plus new glasses that worked perfectly for less than I paid Anderson eye Care for just an exam. Too bad I wasted so much time and money at Anderson Eye Care! Beware. Get a good quote up front, Then get a second opinion. I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years and have never been treated like that before.

Dr. Holt is thorough, kind, and spot on with my eye glass prescriptions! I appreciate the full-service options for vision exams and additional medical testing available as needed. They also provide lots of glasses options at their location. Will return next year for my annual vision exam. Thank you!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, both over the phone when scheduling my appointment and in person. The doctor was gentle, thorough, and took the time to explain each step of the process during the visit.

I love the doctor. He is always so sweet and has a surprisingly soft touch. Always a pleasure to see the ladies at the front and in the back. They all are lovely and friendly.
