Advanced Eyecare - Dr. Matthew Palozej & Dr. Jennifer Stroh

I'll preface this by saying that Dr Matthew is a lovely person and an excellent doctor. However, it takes an inordinate amount of time to get an appointment in his office. It's a small town office, so I happily booked in advance for my kids so I could get both of them taken care of together. On the day of their appointment, we were running a bit late -- 5-7 minutes tops. This is, of course, my responsibility, but life happens. I received a call 3 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and was informed it would have to be cancelled, which is beyond obnoxious. Most offices give at least a 10-minute grace period. So I asked them to cancel both appointments, and we would reschedule them both. Once again, we waited for the appointment, and when the day arrived, my husband was bringing them. Despite my stressing that they are a grossly intolerant practice, my husband was pulled into the parking lot 2 minutes after their appointment time. Once again, I got a call telling me they were cancelling the appointment. If we were extremely late, I'd be more understanding. But 2-3 minutes? Get real. I wasn't planning on returning to this practice anyway, but what really sealed the deal was being billed $75 for a no-show. Suffice it to say, we cancelled all subsequent appointments for myself, my husband, and our kids and will be going somewhere a bit more flexible.

I love Advanced Eye Care!! Dr. Bob and now Dr. Matt are just wonderful! Everyone in the office is lovely and is a pleasure to have my eye appointment!

Everyone was great and you can tell they really care about getting everything right for you, every doctor was great i will be back every year

We have been patients for almost 10 years, and it's still a pleasure coming in to see Dr. Matt & crew. Dr. Matt is an excellent optometrist, who engages well with kids and adults. Everyone we have worked with at Advanced Eyecare is friendly, patient, and accommodating. There's always an excellent selection of eyeglass frames (for all ages), and a reasonable turnaround time for prescription eyewear orders and fittings. Wait-times for appointments (both from a scheduling perspective and in the waiting room) tend to be short-term, which is very much appreciated.

Terrible experience on moving to another practice. Having an eye problem. Tried to book an appointment. Two month wait, so made appt elsewhere. Trying to get records like pulling teeth. After saying they would get them sent to me in time for my appointment, they didn't and when I complained, they said "I can't hold Doctor's hand" and "we have up to 30 days". My spouse will now be leaving as well. Also, previously, didn't stand behind product they sell (frame) that became a problem. Stay away.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Matt provides exceptional care!

Its memorial day weekend ( sunday) I was having a sudden eye issue so i went online googling emergency eyecare in ct after calling my regular eye dr whos office has no emergency care after hour care apparently. I came across advanced eyecare . I called and left a message explaining i was not a regualr patient and i was having this issue. Dr Matt called me back very quickly. We spoke about the issue and symptoms i was having. He told me what he thought was going on and called in some eyedrops to cvs. Dr Matt was so kind and caring. He even text me a few hours later to make sure i was able to pick up the medication. I am blown away by him and how helpful he was especially with me not being a regular patient to his office. I am so thankful for his help, great Dr. Its hard to come by such quality service these days. Thank you thank you thank you!

Recently changed eye doctors to Advanced eye care. I was highly impressed with office. Very organized, friendly and efficient. The office is very clean and high tech, which was refreshing. The Dr showed me many of the scans taken today while explaining exactly what he would be looking for, to determine many aspects of my eye health. I was very impressed.
