The office was spotless and modern, and I never felt rushed at any point during my appointment. Dr. Rathjens took the time to explain every step of the eye exam and answered all of my questions. Great experience overall. I was really impressed by Dr. John Rathjens: Knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, and a great communicator. He took the time to asses and then explained everything very well. I felt I was in good hands the entire time. Office looks bright and modern. Highly recommended.

Overall experience was very good. They moved to a new location on the same floor. It is more spacious and the instruments are fully automated. Dr Rathjens was professional and compassionate. He addressed all my concerns patiently. I just wish the front-desk staff can wear more smiles on their face. All in all, it was very efficient, and high quality service.

The process of scheduling an appointment online is horrible. I scheduled my appointment 1-2 months ago. On my way to the appointment I got caught in traffic. My wife called to notify the office but she was told about the 10 min grace period late rule. I am disabled and utilize a wheelchair to get around so my mobility is challenged. I have been coming to this office for the past 7 years and felt totally disrespected on this day Saturday, Jun 13th. My vision is important to me so a doctor could have been more considerate considering the number of years I have been coming to Rathjens. I was told to wait for a "possible" cancelation instead of the doctor coming out to at least talk to me. The office being relocated and no signage posted to discuss the move to another location contributed to me being "two " minutes past the grace period. Unfortunately, I was not seen on this day which was a Father's Day gift to myself. I guess a few minutes late(10 min grace period rule) is heavy price to pay my for vision. I am highly disappointed as an individual with a disability that utilizes a wheelchair to get from point A to point B. In addition the process of having to find a handicap parking space along with embracing the ramps to get to the Rathjens new location contributed to me falling in the categoryof the 10 min grace period.

This was my very first eye exam , didn't know what to expect. The staff made me feel welcomed, very professional. Dr.Rathjens took his time to explain in details everything I need to know considering being a Diabetic made sure I understood everything including the procedure. I didn't feel rushed made me feel comfortable . I'm pretty satisfied with the service I like it here , I recommend this place don't think twice. I don't even do reviews but this is straight from my heart thank you all , much appreciated.

This was a great experience. The offices are brand new and staff very welcoming. They use the latest technology and no longer need to dilate my eyes. Dr. Rathjens was very friendly and explained everything he was seeing in simply and clearly. Great experience.

The entire team was professional, patient and incredibly helpful. I had interactions with all 3 people at the front desk and to a one they were kind and thorough. The doc was also great - explaining everything as he went and got me out of there in a prompt but unrushed manner. Feels good to be so well taken care of!
