Ocean Eye Care

Being relatively new to the area, I was on the lookout for a new eye doctor and optical center in order to purchase much needed glasses. After much research, Ocean Eye Care was clear the winner with its overall five-star review! The center is clean, new, and tastefully designed with coastal vibes. The administrative staff was friendly and helpful getting me in that very day due to a cancellation. I was thrilled! There was essentially no wait at all. Danielle, an ophthalmic technician, was a gem! So knowledgeable and professional. She thoroughly explained everything she was doing while using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, including a Virtual Visual Field test, a test for glaucoma, an Optical Coherence Tomography test, and retinal photography. Everything on the computer was shared with me. It was indeed fascinating! I could see my eye, my optic nerve fibers, etc. Dr. Jay Taylor, the optometrist, was out-of-the-park friendly, genuine, and skilled. He made me feel comfortable immediately, like I had known him forever. Once my eyes were dilated, he did a cataract evaluation, checked for glaucoma, did a retinal exam, and so on. He was very thorough later explaining his detailed findings in easy to understand, clear language. What an amazing experience! Next, Beth, my Optician, was truly remarkable as she guided me in selecting the glasses that best fit my face and lifestyle. The frames selection is vast and high quality. She was cheerful and very knowledgeable about glasses, lens, and took great care to ensure proper fitting. My glasses will be in in less than two weeks. I am beyond excited! This was literally the best experience I've ever had with both the eye exam and the choosing of glasses. I highly recommend Ocean Eye Care and have shared their contact number with several friends already. When they say that they take great pride in providing their patients with high-quality, patient-centric care and education, they mean it.

Such a great experience! My first time seeing Dr. Jay Taylor. Office is new and well appointed. Staff friendly and professional. After my exam I had planned on going elsewhere to purchase my new glasses, but they had many from which to choose at very reasonable prices. With Beth's help I chose my perfect pair!
