Mid Florida Eye Center

I have been a patient at this practice for 16 years and have always received the attention and care I needed. However, today I was very pleased to be seen by Dr Hutton at the Stonecrest facility. The staff, as always in all offices were professional and thorough. Dr. Hutton added a friendly, personable demeanor that had previously been lacking in my visits with Dr. Charles. His smile, handshake and conversation added to what otherwise was a very clinic like non-personal environment. My perception was that Dr. Hutton loved people and his part in their medical management.

This is a well run office, where everyone demonstrates their training, knowledge. It is a very professional environment yet you experience the personalized care. You have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and realize that your visit was well worth it.

Extremely disorganized medical practice. Had a scheduled 2:00pm appt. Arrived at 1:50pm for a pre cataract surgery appt. Inquired how long this appt would be when the appt made. I was told it would be no more than 2 hours. I was there for 3 hours and 15 minutes. The staff was snapping off the light as we were going out the door. The back waiting room ran out of chairs for people to sit in. The practice was well staffed but no one ever communicated with all the people sitting in the waiting room despite patients asking how much longer it would be. The front office staff were telling patients at check out that it was a "horrible" day. Certainly not how you should want your staff to represent your practice.

Received a call 90min prior to my scheduled 2pm appointment that the dr was not in today and my appt was rescheduled for 4-weeks later. Upon calling the office, two separate staff members told me I did not have a new appointment. When I asked to speak to the office manager, she informed me that I cancelled my rescheduled appointment?! The one that no one else could see. Hmmmmm. Beware. They require a 48-hr notice of cancellation or you will be charged $75.00 Yet they do not give the same courtesy to patients who have been waiting weeks to see a specialist. Very disappointing.

Dr Plum is the best. The team was very patient with me and did not rush me. All the surgical team were friendly,kind and professional. I felt calm and very relaxed.

I love the staff and Dr. Panzo. My day had left me beyond stressed when we arrived, and the young lady at the counter to the left completely engaged me with kindness and solutions where I forgot about the morning I had. From the assistant that treated my dementia brother with kindness and understanding, Dr. Panzo talking to us like fellow humans, to the check out lady. Thank you all for great teamwork , Debbie

From the "intake" lady, Heather, to the Doctor T. Weppelmann, I was very impressed! While waiting, I heard several loud voices and was rethinking about staying. However, Heather and Dr. Weppelmann made me feel at ease. They listened to my issues and didn't rush me "into having surgery". I'll be back!

What a great place! Everyone was wonderful, took thier time, and was so welcoming. I wish I could remember the young woman who did the preliminary work with me before seeing the doctor because she made the experience fun, which is unusual at the eye doctor!! Thank you all.
