Everyone is super nice. My first pair didn't work for me. Without any hesitation they went above and beyond to get me what I needed. This will be my ONLY eye care business

I have used them a few times when I was younger and with peach care insurance and most recently at my last eye checkup, I used them and they accepted my insurance just a year ago. Scheduled me for Another appointment in a year and that has come. I take time out of my day at work in Baxley to drive to Hazlehurst to see them for my appointment and they informed me that they will not accept my eye insurance. I offer them my second eye insurance and they don't accept That either. And now it's too late in the day for me to go back to work so I've lost money for that. Lost the gas It took me to get over here and lost the time that it took to get over here. When the whole time they could've let me know that their acceptance for insurances has changed. Because I promise you, I was not informed in the slightest until today So I'm pissed off. My time has been wasted and they won't ever have to worry about doing that again.

I have difficulty finding eyeglasses that fit because I have a very narrow face and pretty strong prescription. I have gone to several other optical shops and no one at any of them assisted me in any way. Their frame selections also weren't that good. Then I stopped at Southern Eyecare in Hazlehurst. It is a bit of a distance for me but worth it. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. One lady pulled out frames from every place she could to help me find something that works for me. She was very patient with me turning down several pairs that she showed me. But we finally found a pair and honestly I was going to buy some there even if I wasn't totally sure about them because of the effort she put into helping me. Everyone I saw there was very friendly.

These guys are the absolute best. This entire team so friendly, so welcoming, so knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to demonstrate a spirit of service. Thank you southern eyecare team.

Really pleased with their service and the selection of contacts and glasses they have. Doctors are very friendly and they can usually see you within a day of calling for appointment.

If I could give zero stars I would! I've never in my life had an experience like this! I'm self pay no insurance, go in for an eye exam all is well get fitted for glasses. The glasses selection wasn't great I ended up settling with a discontinued pair that will not be covered for repair if something were to happen. That's fine my choice but I didn't want to pay for something I didn't like. A week later I call to see if I could get contacts. The lady said she had to check with the Dr to see if I was eligible for contacts and she'd give me a call back. I got busy but a week later they call me to tell me my contacts are in and they wanted to schedule me for a contact fitting, but then they tell me that they wouldn't be able to see me until may 4th mind you it was April 1st at this time.... over a month! I told them I would get back with them bc I honestly didn't want to wait a month. I called back a week later after I've had a chance to simmer down for them to schedule an appointment for them to tell me "well now you're going to have to pay the fee up front before we can schedule your appointment bc you missed your last appointment" hunny it us April 10th how could I miss a future appointment? They're now refusing to schedule an appointment without payment first! I'm sorry I would rather go somewhere else and start the whole process over than to give this place another dime!!! 10 out of 10 don't recommend this company!!!!
