Ok so I went to the office. Doctor Flood was amazing. She took her time with me asked me questions and also let me ask questions that seemed odd on my part, but she answered them all. The MA that came in first was wonderful as well, she joked and laughed with me and made me feel comfortable as well as the Doctor. Now after the exam was all said and done, I went out to look for glasses. My husband was looking for frames that he liked and wanted me to try on and the lady who helps with frames kept saying they don't look good on me. That was strike one. We found frames that we both liked and started the process she asked me what additions I would like, and I told her what I needed. She then made it sound like I had to have other additions on my glasses for me to be able to see, I said OK that's fine. Paid 325.00 for what I wanted and was told that it would like a week to maybe two weeks before they came in and they would send me a text when they were ready. Fast forward two weeks, I called to see if they had come in and was told they didn't have a record of me as a patient. Called back next day and spoke to a scheduler and she sent a message for someone to call me back, NO ONE called. Next day I received a text saying my glasses were ready. Went in to pick them up and was even more upset with this office as the lady who help with my glasses decided to try bending them without using heat to soften them up first. When I tried to tell her they still didn't feel right and were too big on my face she told me I just need to get use to wearing them. I took my glasses and left. I will NOT be going back to this office because of her and I wish I would have gotten her name, but I was just so upset with what I got I didn't want to deal with her any longer. I'd rather dive over an hour and find someone who will acknowledge me as a person and patient verses just getting me out the office. So, thank you to the MA and Doctor Flood for being such amazing people.
The only complaint I have is this staff isn't near as friendly as the past staff. I had to wait 30 minutes before getting called back the it was rush rush. I've been coming there for YEARS. So not sure what is going on but I will say when working with the public you need to at least act and look like you're happy. Also, I didn't have to get glasses this time and pretty happy about that. But the lady isn't super friendly the time I did have to deal with her.
I really want to give five stars because the doctor deserves it! She was friendly and very knowledgeable!
However, the rest of the staff I encountered, not so much. They all seemed to have a chip on their shoulder or just irritated and miserable or something. At first I had to check myself, like, was I coming off rude? I mean I was a bit nervous but I was always friendly and polite with all of them. So I really don't think it was me... I don't know if something happened with them before I got there, but their vibes were definitely off!
Overall though, it's a clean sanitary environment, organized and thorough, and in my opinion , best of all, the process was time efficient. No extreme wait time on the day of my visit.
The staff needs to get the stick out of their bum and work on their patient service manners, then they would get 5 stars!

NOT AN HUMANA PLUS Provider.
HUMANA stated "Your Humana plan includes a $0 copay for one comprehensive diabetic eye exam at an in-network provider per plan year."
IT IS NOT $0 CO-PAY
I was required to pay $75.00! As a retired senior citizen, it is imperative to have a grasp on budgets: just can't give money away. In this case, the cost was $75.00!
Only went here based upon the information provided by Humana. I confronted the cashier. She replied that was the copay. Something is in kahoots here. Sounds like 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
. A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE **** Now, one person stands out there for a wonderful customer experience: Asia. Courteous, welcoming and conscientious. The extreme wait time was unexcusable, but, she made it bearable.**** :-)
With Humana describing this business as a "PLUS provider," I was paranoid about staying and doing more business with them and only wanted to expeditiously escape it.
Never received an itemized invoice.
I still don't know if it fulfilled my reason for going there: a $0 copay for one comprehensive diabetic eye exam at an in-network provider per plan year."
First time going. Everyone made me feel comfortable .I got in and out fast..
Place was very clean. staff and doctor was really nice.
For some reason I never feel completely at ease there. They never make me feel like they are adjusting my sight right. I always tell them that it is still blurry but they never get it clear. I only go there cause my insurance sent me there. I also found out they have started charging $30 just to give you a written prescription. That is ridiculous just for writing out the prescription! I may change where I go next time
We are very pleased with Ga Center for Sight at the Lavonia location. Dr Turkfield is very professional and "knows his stuff". He examined my husband and did additional testing that we were not expecting. Very impressed with their in depth examinations, leaving nothing for doubt.
We will return in 6 months. We have now made them our one and only go to eye needs location.
It was a nice experience or way better that last year & seemed like there was problems going on... Hoping & praying for good out come on my Cataract removal too though I know I'm in good hands so giving to God... Thankyou Mary Murphy Landress
