I didn't think I would have to spend no more then 50 dollars for my glasses with the cost of living has gone up. The eye Dr. was great and the woman that helped me pick out my frames was great. But then when it was time for her to rang me out she said today it will be 200 hundred. I said for what cause I have three different insurances through medicad and Medicare and I still owe 200 hundred and she said they only pay for the eye examination you have to pay out of pocket for the frames and lenses. So I'm still without glasses cause I don't have an extra 200

I had a good experience with Dr Rafati. Then Maggie helped me choose anew frame for my prescription sunglasses. And helped with the best value for my clear lenses replacement in previous frames that were still good.

I think Dr. Diehl and the staff at Clarkson in Columbia IL are great? Dr. Diehl will answer any questions you have and those that help you with finding new glasses are very patient, helpful and kind.

Dr Diehl was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. Wait times are low, office staff is thorough and competent. Highly recommend.

The receptionists are very friendly and nice. The exam and doctor were quick. The doctor was very professional and friendly. I ordered new glasses. The person was quick and accommodating. My only complaint was the wait to be seen (40 minutes).

I have just decided to leave Clarkson Eyecare as a customer. I have come to Clarkson in Columbia IL for several years now. When I buy glasses I do not buy one pair. I buy several for varying needs. I am a very good customer to have. I stopped by today with about 10 pair of glasses to be adjusted. They are just not sitting right so I need minor adjustments. The lady said we are too busy to do. I understand that. But they do say "just drop in whenever you need adjustments and we will take care of you." I explained I leave on a trip on Sunday for two weeks. Can I get two pair adjusted. This probably would have taken less than 90 seconds to do two pair. She said if I leave the glasses maybe they could adjust two pair by the end of the day. First question....if I am not there for them to adjust, how could they adjust for my face. Short story. If they do not care about the customer any more than that....I will move on and take my few thousand dollars of glasses business every two or three years with me. Some company will be hungry and customer centered enough to recognize their role in meeting basic expectations.

Clarkson Eyecare confirmed for me my new insurance was accepted twice before my appointment, then the day of the appointment I'm turned away saying they dont accept it. I called Clarkson back, they again re-reconfirmed they do accept my insurance, updated my chart, confirmed with a supervisor that yes they would accept my insurance, and scheduled an appointment at the Waterloo location. The day of my second appoint I get a call before my appointment saying they dont accept my insurance. There is some kind of disconnect with what they will accept. They've lost a customer that has been going to them for 2 decades over this.
