Kehoe Eye Care

Upon my visit this place was great and the staff were amazing. However fast forward 3 months, I no longer live in Galesburg and my lens started cracking in random spots. I never dropped my glasses or even used them everyday so for them to crack in such a short period of time was concerning.. they finally cracked to the point where I cannot wear them. I gave Kehoe a call asking if I can mail them in and have them replaced due to them being unwearable anymore.. at first they told me I can mail them in, but they quickly changed their mind and told me to visit a place closer to me where I can buy new frames. I would have paid for my exact new frames from Kehoe but this was not an option.. I am very dissatisfied with this outcome.. I have attached a photo of my glasses for customers to steer clear from these frames as they crack, without any mishandling.

Wife and i were just here last night. I've been looking for specific lenses and frames. This place had both and were very easy to deal with and dealt with me very well (i can be very confusing and hard to understand). They have all the transitions lenses currently on the market here and know even more and they also sell Wiley X here. Everyone i talked with here was extremely polite and understanding. Todd was very helpful and awesome too. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Plattner and his staff are fabulous! I always leave feeling well-cared for and confident that I received quality eye care from a compassionate provider who has my best interest in mind. They are continually updating their equipment with cutting edge technology, making it evident they remain current in the latest updates and research in the field of optometry.

I was charged 40$ without my consent. -- They take photos of your eyes, not included in your exam, this wasn't explained to me till after the bill. Charged me 10$ for talking about contacts, after they said they wanted 175$ .. to show me how to use contacts, and I said no.. They then proceeded to attempt to add everything they could to their overpriced frames, but the fast talking didn't work. They are not here for service, the doctor and nurses all just rattled off words as fast as they could. I left there overcharged, and without the glasses I needed.(anti glare was $60, they overcharged me $50). This isn't the place for an intelligent consumer. If you are snooty, have money to waste and want people to smile at you, stop on in! Other than that, I'd stay away from here. Some of us work hard for our money and they work hard to pry every bit they can out of your pocket. Edit/reply: if you were actually sorry you would refund the money you overcharged. Train your staff to inform customers this procedure isnt part of the standard exam and costs more, would you still like it? Or offer to give me the anti glare on my glasses. Instead of your generic reply to save face that does absolutely nothing.

Great experience! Dr. Plattner is so knowledgeable, and their state-of-the-art technology is second to none. I've never had a more thorough eye exam in nearly 35 years of wearing glasses/contacts. The entire staff is friendly and courteous, and they did a great job helping my 12-year-old find glasses for the first time. Before the appointment, she was dreading it, but at Kehoe she was all smiles! Thank you - you guys are great!

I am extremely comfortable with the care I receive at Kehoe Eye Care. Their use of technology is absolutely amazing. I feel like they can diagnose any potential problem I might ever have with my eyes. The staff is also knowledgeable and friendly.
