Best optometrist I've ever been to. Thoroughly professional and very attentive to detail. Everyone is very personable and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Not sure really where to begin, but the secretary is an absolute sweetheart, and the doctor gives some of the best care I've ever received from an optometrist. I have a rare genetic eye disease that I learned more about in one visit here than multiple visits at other eye doctors. They are kind, they care about their patients, and they take the time to make sure that you get the right prescription. I absolutely 100% recommend going here.

Doc has been my eye guy since I was a kid. He is phenomenal. I will be really sad when he retires. Definitely come here to get your eyes checked.

McPheron Optometry is a gem stuck in the middle of New London. Long time patrons may not recognize the building. They have a new facility next to their old one. The new facility is State-of-the-art and very welcoming with great curbside appeal. The interior is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.The eyeglass displays allow for a greater choice of frames than ever before. The exam rooms are very comfortable and well lit. The receptionist is pleasant and friendly. She is very accommodating and helpful. Robert McPheron is a talented optician with a calm and reassuring demeanor. He takes the time to listen and you never feel rushed. Grant McPheron is the "new kid on the block." He has learned from the best and I am sure he will do quite well. Paul McPheron started the establishment in 1951. It says something for the caliber of their care that the third generation just took his place in the family business. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of the lenses has never disappointed me. I am so thankful that opticians of this caliber choose to serve in the small rural areas of Iowa. These hometown gentlemen have done us proud.

I've moved about 6 times since going to Dr. McPheron as a kid and have just kept working with them because they are so personable and provide such great service. Highly recommend!

Dr. McPheron is the most professional doctor I have ever been to. He is extremely polite and even if I haven't seen him in a year, he'll ask about what we talked about at my last visit. He is a little out of the way in New London and he isn't open 8-5 every day, but it is totally worth the drive. He doesn't charge that much and he is so great to go to. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area!!!

I have been going to McPheron Optometry for over 30 years and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Not only are the McPheron family some of the nicest people I have ever done business with, their customer service and compassion to make you as comfortable as possible is top notch. Highly recommended!

Dr. McPheron has been taking care of my eyes since I was knee high to a duck. He is the only one I trust with my eyes. I'm even go to him now even though I don't live in Iowa. Calm demeanor, when he is with you he doesn't get distracted by anything. You are his top priority. He takes time to explain everything to you. And asks you about your life and really cares and listens. He's a great man.
