**UPDATE ** I received a call from Dr. Wood himself. We had reviewed a few things and considered a different way of going about using my specific UHC plan. I was pleased to see a company concerned enough about the well-being if its customers to call them directly! I would gladly recommend this company to anyone. But, at the same time be 100 percent sure that the insurance to do have will be accepted! Thanks again Dr. Wood I had called before my appointment. And verified that that they took my insurance UHC. When I arrived they soon the insurance information. I Did the complete exam for contacts. Then, they informed me that they haven't run it thru my insurance yet. So I was unable to order contacts. A couple hours later. They called and said that they actually DO NOT cover my insurance. And it would be $175 for the exam that was "under insurance". I had called and asked for my prescription and they had no problem giving it to me. But when I went to order the contacts online. I was informed that I needed to pay my past balance first. Mine you, the balance that never should have been there. If someone did a little researching. I went a couple days later after the cancelation of my contacts. They said it was because I owe them money. So, the didn't verify my prescription for the online service. I told them that I had informed them well before the appointment and they said it wouldn't be a problem with UHC insurance. When I went up to clear it up. They informed me I could pay the $175 then file a form (that they will Not release until I pay). And, "may get money back" depending on the insurance I do have. On the way out I asked why the said the informed me that they did cover UHC Vision. Their response was... "WE DO"! TO SAY THE LEAST, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!

My family have received vision services at Wood Vision Clinic in Parkersburg for a number of years. All of the staff are great. Any issue I've had with my vision or glasses has been quickly and satisfactorily addressed. I can trust the the glasses I purchase there are of high quality.

My visits at Wood clinic both during my exam and receiving my glasses were cordial and knowledgeable. Everyone treated me with kindness and courtesy. My glasses are making my vision very clear and they are comfortable to wear. They are also pretty!

Dr. Wood is really great! She is knowledgeable, pleasant, thorough, and the service is fast and efficient. Wait time is minimal, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet and calming. I highly recommend Wood Vision Clinic!

Love coming here for everything eye related!! All the staff are very knowledgeable, courteous and fun to interact with. Full eye exam completed in less than 30 minutes (including wait time)!
