Lusk Eye Specialists - Minden

Spent a lot of time with me. New prescription for my right eye. Now seeing great!!! Love them!!!!

My experience with everyone on staff was great. My exam went well and the atmosphere was pleasant.

It went great but dr Francis was suppose to either give me prescription for eye drops or call it in but he did neither. I would like to try these eyedrops he recommended for my dry eyes.

Lusks Eye Specialist did an excellent job on my Dad's left eye laser eye procedure. He is able to see much better out of that eye. Every staff person that I spoke with were very friendly and eager to help. I highly recommend them.

I am perplexed. Many of the staff were personable and friendly. I also take responsibility that I asked for an occupational prescription (office glasses where you can read the computer without staining your neck and still see across the room) and I received a prescription for single vision readers. I didn't catch that until later. When I went back to them, they kept telling me that there is no such thing as "occupational glasses," that I'm wrong, that my existing office pair isn't that... basically that they were right and I am wrong. Four different staff people came in with various degrees of this, before the Dr would come to the office. I own that I was extremely frustrated by the time he finally came in. Imagine if he had been the first person I talked to on my return... how much frustration would have been avoided. A simple google search (yes, I know, google doc here... ) says "Occupational eyeglass prescriptions, also known as computer glasses or workspace progressives, are designed for people who need to see things up close and far away at the same time. They can be used for work, hobbies, or other tasks, and can be more comfortable than standard glasses for activities like extended reading or computer use." Note that I had presented them with my current pair of "office glasses" which I got from my prior optometrist in TX, and I asked them to be renewed. I was told that I don't have what I think I have. A few days later I was sent a "how did we do" review which I tried to fill out and submit so that this is less public. It would not let me submit. Hm. I do not know the reason why it wouldn't work. So I tried to private message through Facebook. That didn't work either. I received no response. Fast forward, I now have my bill to pay and every phone line documented doesn't work. Not for any of their offices, including billing. So already long story a little shorter... I am glad that other people are having really great experiences with them. Perhaps I hit on a couple of bad days, and I do own that I initially missed that I was given single vision readers in place of my request for occupational lenses. If the Lusk family actually read these comments, I suggest some in-service training on several fronts.

It's always good even if the wait is long

Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Always a wait time. Location rather hard to find since I am not from Minden.

I have had only outstanding experiences with Lusk Eye Specialists. Dr. Jeffery Lusk is a great ophthalmologist.
