Vision Care of Maine

It's been a month since I ordered new glasses. I've called 3 times this week now to check on the status of said glasses. I've left voicemails and this office refuses to contact me. Go with warby Parker or someone else online. This office is a massive joke.

Dr. Trask is very nice but the visits always seem rushed. Everyone makes you feel like your an inconvenience. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of someone in the office. There is no direct line so it takes 2 or more transfers to get you there. It always goes to voice-mail and it takes several days to get calls back, if you get one at all. Then there is the billing. I always pay at the time of visit but this is the 3rd time that I have gotten a bill saying that I didn't pay and then I have to dig through my records and prove to them that I did and it's all so frustrating, not to mention inept on their part. I'm not sure if all of Vision Care is run this way but I will be looking for someone else.

From the time you arrive for your appointment you are in greeted at the front desk with some of the most polite receptionist I have encountered. I was really nervous about having cataract surgery. My nurse explained what she was going to be doing every time she placed the eye drops and what they were going to do. Dr. Young along with his staff are amazing! I would highly recommend them to anyone that is in need for any type of eye care.

Most everyone is wonderful. At my recent visit, the receptionist was kind. The lady that took me in for my appointment was kind, patient, and funny. Dr. Trask is also kind and friendly. My only negative comment is to the lady that came in to do the pressure on my eyes. I struggle with my eyes and flinching. When she came in she immediately said, "Oh, yeah, we have issues every year with you and this." Then, she attempted to check my pressure twice and I flinched. She pushed back and snapped, "Yeah, I'm done. It's not worth it." Not exactly patience or good service, but thankfully everyone else in the office is stellar!

I was very happy with my appointment and will be using them every year to come Doctor Trask and assistant were very friendly and would make young and old comfortable I believe

Reception and support staff were all friendly and efficient. Thorough exam. New frames and lens for both of us in under an hour. Highly recommended.

They are fast and efficient! Doctor Trask explained everything he was doing. The assistant was very polite and friendly!

Everyone was very kind and professional. It was the best experience I have had with an eye exam and picking out glasses! I will definitely be recommending Vision Care to others.
