This was my first time going to a MyEyeDr. location and it did not disappoint! The check in was quick, the place is very clean and tidy (it is brand new), and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Lea completed my exam and was great! She explained everything well and answered any questions I had. Afterward, I was assisted by Neshawn to pick out my new pair of glasses. She was super honest with each try on and I really appreciated it because it made finding the right one easy! She was also very helpful during billing as she broke down the pricing/charges, making it all very clear. Overall, I was definitely impressed and will recommend them to anyone I know.

Service with a smile! Excellent, competant staff and Dr. Lea took her time with my complex prescription. Neshawn helped me pick out the right frames and everything. Highly recommend!

This place doesn't even deserve one star. I scheduled an appointment for my dad knowing his insurance was active, yet when he arrived they refused to provide services. On top of that, my dad prefers Spanish, and they told him they did not have forms available in Spanish--so he had to call me for help. This already made him feel unwelcome. Then they told him his insurance was inactive and that the visit would cost $145. My dad agreed to pay out-of-pocket, and even then they told him no, and that he should "wait until his insurance becomes active." That alone makes it clear they did not want to help him at all. As soon as he left, I contacted his insurance, and they confirmed--again--that his coverage was active. I then called another MyEyeDr location, and they were able to schedule him for the next day. They also checked his insurance and immediately confirmed it was active in their system. When I called this location back to speak with a manager, she told me they "realized" his insurance was active right after he left and claimed there would be no issues if he returned. I explained that I had already booked him at another location, and she responded by saying she would remove his insurance information from their system so they "wouldn't have access to it" and couldn't find it. That felt completely inappropriate and unprofessional. The entire experience felt discriminatory, and I do not appreciate how they treated my dad. This office showed a lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic respect. We will not be returning.

I will never return to this store. Although 3 of the 4 people I dealt with were nice, there was 1 exception. That person's name is Yvette. While she was polite (in a fake kind of way - "have a nice day when you know she'd rather have told me off), she lied to me 3 times. First, when I told her I was only getting the prescription and mentioned I would probably go to COSTCO to get my glasses, she insisted COSTCO didn't take my insurance (lie #1). I've gotten glasses annually from COSTCO and they do in fact take my insurance. And their prices are MUCH lower that My. Eye Dr. She then insisted that I was required to pay an additional $44 for eye photos that I never asked for and that are of absolutely no value to me (lie #2) . I told her I didn't ask for those and was only going to pay my $10 deductible. She then insisted that if I had gone to the Laurel store they would require me to pay for the photos (lie #3). I've been to that location twice (no convenient appointments this year) and to another My Eye Dr in Beltsville and have not been required to pay for photos at either location. I understand they are trying to make money with these useless photos but they are deceptive about it and Yvette flat out lied to me 3 times. As I said, I will never return to this location and probably not to My Eye Dr. There are too many other options available to me to return to a place that treats their customers that way.

Had such a wonderful experience with the entire staff at MyEyeDr. (Burtonsville, MD) I found Denise to be extremely helpful! I strongly recommend MrEyeDr (Burtonsville, MD) for your eye exam and glasses!

I went to this location for the first time for my Annual exam and I had THE WORST experience EVER with the employee at front desk, by the name of MICHAEL. He was so rude, Unprofessional and ZERO customer service skills whatsoever. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I refuse to accept behavior like that and the company should not allow, Employee like that, to engage with customer service. I STRONGLY recommend retraining for him including corrective actions to improve customer services experience!! On the other hand, employee name Eyvet, was excellent!! She jumped to solving the problem and did exactly what needed to be done gracefully. Thank you Eyvet!

I walked in this morning to a clean and brightly lit store that appeared to be empty. I noticed a partially hidden woman in the back, who, after a few minutes, reluctantly asked if she could help me. When I said, I wanted to make an appointment, she appeared annoyed, continued looking at her phone, mumbled something and then continue to ignore me. Considering the unenthusiastic greeting I received, I chose not to make an appointment and trust the care of my eyes there. When I told her never mind as she seemed busy, she sarcastically told me to have a good day.

This was my very first experience at this location. I am please to say that Ms. Tamera, and Ms. Yvette truly extended the upmost kindness during my visit. Everything was thoroughly explained and they truly ensured that I made the right choice for my glasses and contacts! Thank you!
