I was experiencing eye floaters and the office got me in within two days. During my exam Dr. Marabello suggested dilating my eyes for further testing but I couldn't that day because I was scheduled to ref a basketball game. He scheduled me the very next morning at 7:30 am and even gave me his personal cell phone number in case my condition got worse. The next day he completed a full series of test and reassured me nothing was seriously wrong and explained in detail my condition. He was very emphatic and took the time to fully explain the answers to all my questions. Overall my entire experience was treated with courtesy and professionalism!!
Both times I been there I've waited over an hour after I checked in for my young daughter to be seen. Both times two different receptionist gave me attitude for asking how much longer and acted like was bothering them. Especially the girl with the bull nose ring! The doctors are amazing and great with kids
Good luck getting an appointment within 5 months of your request. 10 years ago, they were good. Could book you for an eye exam within a month out. Now, you're more likely to get booked six months out for a simple eye exam. They're just not as attentive, friendly or responsive as they used to be. When you do come in for your appointment , you wait at least 45 minutes, so don't believe you can fit this in during a lunch break from work. After 24 years of going here, we are looking elsewhere. Simply force of habit kept us coming here.
I had such an amazing experience at D'Ambrosio Eye Care! Riana helped me when I wasn't feeling confident about my eyeglass choices, and she went above and beyond to make sure I found a pair I loved. She walked around with me, picked out tons of options, and patiently helped me narrow them down to my favorite pair.
What really stood out was how much everyone in the office joined in to help and give their opinions it felt like a team effort! Riana made me feel so seen and never rushed me, even though it took a while. She asked me, "Do you like it or do you love it?" and honestly, that question stuck with me. I will forever use it whenever I make decisions in life!
If you can, definitely sit with Riana when choosing your glasses but truly, everyone in that office is amazing. Highly recommend!
My daughter Alaynah is 2 months shy of being 13. She has been going to DAmbrosio since she was six months old! I'm more than happy with this place.
Good luck getting an appointment at this place. My daughter is a patient there and she just failed her eye exam at school....earliest available is March... so in the event she actually has an issue she is supposed to just wait it out until then. Get a better system and figure how to manage appt needs. In addition, the fact that you still have to call to check in when you arrive at your appointment from the parking lot and no one answers the phone is insane.... I would recommend looking elsewhere if I were you.
D'ambrosio eye care become a worse place for your eye care, when I have a private insurance your appointment was set for the next few weeks now that I have a mass health you have to wait 6 or 7 months, not only that but when I ask for supervisor, they put you on hold after you wait for so long they hung up, just to pick up my new glasses I did wait almost 2 months and the quality of the frame no good at all, al bend , I have to bring to different place to be fixed, with they did fixed, the ask where I get my glasses I mentioned D'ambrosio, the answer was NO WONDER, too bad a good place that was excellent now it's the worse, not going back anymore, they are cherry pickers, private insurance or mass health pensions must be treated the same way shame on them, look like that mister D'ambrosio become blind on his own eye care world just because his own management it's trashing his reputation and hard work that he achieved for so long
The treatment and scheduling of patients is appalling. I was schedule for imaging of my eyes at 1 PM and an injection to my eye at 2 PM. I was not called for the imaging until 35 minutes after my arrival and was not seen by the doctor for my 2 PM injection until 3:45 PM. Frustrated with the wait and lack of service, I refused treatment and left the premises. This was my 2nd experience with this business and its extended wait times. As a business model, this company over schedules patients and herds them like cattle to different waiting areas. I observed many patients waiting 30-60 minutes in each waiting area and heard their exasperation for having to wait extended/excessive periods of time. It's a shame that this business has so little regard for other people's time and money. Avoid going here if able. Find another ophthalmologist.
