I moved to Michigan and needed a new optometrist. I saw that Scarbrough Eyecare had many positive reviews and decided to try them out. I was very pleased. The staff was genuinely friendly, the office was modern with high-tech equipment, the exam process was efficient, and everyone from the doctor to reception staff was very professional. I wouldn't hesitate at all to return or refer my people to them. 5 stars!

Was treated in an extremely professional and friendly way. All staff were very knowledgeable and professional answered all questions I had and even informed me of things I didn't know. The facility was clean and I am very happy with the service I received. The exam was extremely thorough and very professional. The optometrist assistant was very, very friendly and knowledgeable and the optometrist was great. I highly recommend using this eye doctor for all your eye care needs. AAAAA+++++

I was a long time customer of Scarbrough Eyecare for about 20 years. I bought eye glasses, went through eye exams, and in all that time I never complained about their products or services. I'm not the type of person who whines and complains for any little thing. I was a loyal customer who paid for the eyeglasses and service I received from Scarbrough Eyecare. As can happen, my most recent pair of eyeglasses I purchased from Scarbrough Eyecare, in Traverse City, were not fitted properly and as a result my eyelashes rub against the lenses which has caused them to fade. I rightly complained. Imagine my astonishment when Adam, the service person, dismissed my claim without so much as feigning even slight empathy. To add insult to injury, Adam went so far as to blame me for damaging the eyeglasses. As far as Adam is concerned, there is not even a remote possibility that Scarbrough Eyecare failed to fit the eyeglasses properly, thus, it must be the customer who is to blame. When I voiced my displeasure and told Adam that I was not happy and would write a review detailing my bad experience, he claimed that I was being dishonest to get a discount and my entire complaint was to get the glasses for free. I couldn't believe my ears. Apparently, to Adam, a long time customer voicing a complaint for the first time, after 20 years of loyalty, is doing something wrong simply because they voice their displeasure over a bad experience. No, I did not want a discount--I wanted to reason with Scarbrough Eyecare to make things right. Is it wrong for a customer to want a product they purchase to meet their standards and expectations? To Adam, not only is it wrong for a customer to complain if they're not satisfied, but additionally, the customer is to blame for everything. The fact is that I never complained in 20 years and only complained because I was dissatisfied with the eyeglasses. I'm an honest person who simply wants a well fitted pair of eyeglasses, and am willing to pay a fair price for them.
