Staff is very friendly, funny, and welcoming! Dr. Cornelius is incredible, very well spoken, informative, and friendly! Every one was on the same track; giving you the best experience possible. I'd see them twice a year :D

From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff was welcoming and efficient. During my eye exam, the technician and Dr. were incredibly thorough. They took the time to explain each test and answer all my questions about my vision health, which made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. I truly felt like a valued patient, not just another appointment. I highly recommend Curtis Eye Care.

I'm extremely disappointed in the billing practices and transparency at Curtis Eyecare. I called around to several providers to determine the cost of an eye exam. I was quoted $75.00 for the exam at Curtis with the caveat "unless there was something else necessary". I went through the exam with no explanation of what was occurring and checked out to a bill that was $125.00 higher than I was quoted. Apparently a digital retinal exam was performed without my notice or consent. After questioning the surprise charge I was told by the receptionist that they would speak to the doctor and have it taken care of. A month later I receive a bill for the charge that was supposed to have been adjusted. After repeated calls I finally had a very disappointing conversation with John who had the audacity to suggest that it was my fault because I didn't tell them I was on Medicare. Based on my understanding of the No Surprises act it is their responsibility to determine my insurance status. If Medicare might have paid it why didn't they re-bill it when they found out I had it? I reluctantly paid the balance just to be finished with them. I called in advance and received what I considered to be a good faith estimate and was surprise billed for a service that I was not informed was extra and may not have been medically necessary. There are laws against both of these practices. My suggestion is to choose a different provider.

I had a great first impression with this office--everyone at the front desk was kind and professional. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. My very first contact prescription from this optometrist was written incorrectly (wrong base diameter and too strong of a prescription). At first, I assumed the issue was just my age (I'm 50 and my near vision has been changing), but my husband pointed out that this office had also recently given him the wrong prescription. That prompted me to try my leftover lenses from my previous optometrist--sure enough, I could see clearly with those. I drove back to Curtis Eye Care with both prescriptions in hand and asked to see the doctor. She wasn't available, so I showed the front desk staff the error and was assured I'd receive a call back. That call never came. Weeks later, when I was nearly out of my old prescription, I called again. They apologized, placed a new order (which I paid for since it had been awhile), but when the lenses came in, they were also wrong. When I called to fix it, I was told it had been "too long" and that I'd have to come in and pay for yet another fitting and another set of lenses. Instead of taking responsibility, they pushed the cost back on me. Mistakes happen--but refusing to make it right is unacceptable. This office wasted my time, cost me money, and showed zero accountability. I made an appointment with another optometrist who hopefully can write a correct prescription and takes the time to speak with their patients. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. **Reply to your comments blow... No, I brought in my previous prescription which addressed a base curve issue. If all of the information did not get to the Doctor, that is on you (also this would have been discussed if the doctor took the time to return my calls). My suggestions to better your customer service would be... #1 ask a new patient to bring their previous prescription in with them (you are the first office that I have experienced that does not do that). #2 Have the doctor take the time to contact the patient, details get lost in translation. A 5-minute phone call from the doctor to discuss the issue would have prevented all of this.

I just had an appointment at Curtis Eye after losing a (hard) contact. They were thorough, efficient and personable! The doctor answered all my questions and even after the visit, they have been very communicative! Good work team!

The Dr's and staff are superb in every way you could expect. Dr.s are well educated and thorough. They are on 84th street.

Please save your money and go to a different place to get your eye wear and exam. They charge you for remakes when the lab has a no charge remake policy for 2 years yet they only give you a year warranty in office. The lead optician was on her phone last time I was in and they are always at her desk or in the lab (cant seem to get help). I've stopped in a few time to look at frames and no one has even acknowledged me. The girl who sits in the back (she kind of looks homeless her hair is always greasy) she has no clue what she is doing. Seems like they just hire to hire! Again save your time and money they are way over priced and charge for stuff the lab is doing for free. *Sunny*

I always recommend this office for eye care. They have been taking care of my husband and I for years and years. They are always very personable but extremely professional and detailed in both their exams and explanations on what they are finding and next steps.
