Thank you to Brian for saving me and my glasses! We were visiting Grand Haven from NC when my glasses broke while cleaning them. Brian's first assessment was that they looked 'terminal'! Then he suggested I go up the street to Morgan Jewelers and see if John could weld my titanium frames. He could and he did, in less than 15 minutes. Back to Brian who reinserted the lens and presto! Perfect! THANK YOU SO MUCH to both of you for saving my glasses, the day, and our trip back to NC!

Currently at a 1-star but will update if warranted. I called a month ago to schedule an appointment. I stated I would need contacts within 5 weeks before I leave the country on a trip. They said no problem and booked me out about two weeks. I had a fantastic visit now almost 3 weeks ago with the Dr.; she was great. The issue is everything after. After not having my trial lenses after a week, I called. They put me on hold for about 5 minutes while the checked. I had a feeling then that things wouldn't end well. They told me they hadn't arrived but it would be any day. 8 days later, still nothing so I stopped in. Brian, possibly the 'manager', was working and seemed very annoyed I was there to check the status as it had been over two weeks. He starts opening drawers, going from the front to the back apparently looking for my contacts. He logs onto a computer to check something, but doesn't give me an answer as to if they are there and lost, or if they haven't arrived or if they are on back order. He said he would call the supplier in an hour when they opened and call me. He didn't. I called back, I texted the provided number, I emailed, no response. It's now 4 days later. Still no response. So I called the other location to see who I should go to since Brian isn't assisting and I feel my issue is being gated. The person I spoke to (Corey) at the Hudsonville office was pleasant, listened to my issue and said that the Dr. I that I saw in Grand Haven was in her office currently so she would check with her after she finished her current appointment. All I wanted was my prescription so I can go order contacts right away before I leave the country. But here's the thing. I was told that I wouldn't get a call back because it was almost closing time and that someone would have to call the next day. So we can't spend an extra 2 minutes to call and give an update because it's closing time? That truly shows a lack of care about the situation as a whole. I'll update when there is resolution.

I've been going to Habor View ever since moving here nearly 30 years ago. I've always appreciated the friendly professional service. I do recommend Harbor View to friends.

Up until today we have had great experiences with Harbor View. Today when my wife and daughter went to have my daughter's lenses changed they were treated very rudely by the woman who was supposed to handle that area. She told them they could not sit at her table and to go sit in the waiting area. Then another couple came out of the examination rooms and she quickly waited on them and made my wife and daughter wait.The receptionist ended up helping them and did a great job switching out the lenses. I am very disappointed in the way my family was treated. we are paying customers just like the other couple.We will be looking for another eye doctor because of this.

Fantastic experience. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Display is stylish and modern with plenty of space to not feel crowded. Highly recommend.

The reason I give place such a low rating is my current experience with them. I ordered new contacts to be sent quickly to my apartment. At first the secretary lost her note and forgot to send them out. I had to call again and order them a second time. I was told they would be there within a couple days which they were not. 5 days later I call again and they realized that made a mistake with how long it takes to ship the contacts. They promise it will be there in the next day or so and even say the tracking says it is in route. Well it still doesn't come at which point they say they will investigate send me an emergency pair, and call me back with details. I am still waiting on my contacts and a call from their office. I can't even express how appalling this lack of costumer service is, not the mention the lack of organization and knowledge of shipping times from the staff. I am very reluctant to order contacts through them again and have lost respect for the eye doctor office all together.

I had a very good experience at Harbor View. My husband has gone here for years but I hadn't found an eye doctor since moving to Grand Haven over 5 years ago. I went for the first time today and they were welcoming and understanding to my not having eye insurance. I will definitely make this my eye doctor home!
