Pinconning Family Eye Care

Today will be my son's first appointment some of these comments have me concerned. I am rating 5 stars as for the receptionist that dealt with me.I explained my son's issues and she spoke with me a great time on the matter and made me feel he would be ok. As for that aspect I'll give the receptionist 5 stars and will later detail in his overall experience . She made me feel comfortable and even explained some family members who had some of the issues my son has and made me at ease.

I brought in a set of frames that were to be used for my lined bifocals, they were not!! The females in the office say they have no idea what I'm talking about. And have been really rude about it, instead of being helpful! One even commented what beautiful frames, the day I brought them in. The place in KY where they send them to be made, never received them! I now will be taking legal action. DONT GO HERE!!!! Meridian insurance can go see Dr Pan in Bay City. At least your business will be appreciated & the staff is very helpful. I HAD to give one star, wouldn't post with none.

To whom it may concern, ATTENTION: I stopped early January with my wife who had to drive me due to my vision impairment. I have severe vision issues and my glasses had broken. I needed a new pair of spectacles and made my appointment and my wife stressed concern and they were able to schedule me on the 21st of January. I called on the 20th to confirm appointment time I had written for 11:00 AM. A lady named Ashley answered the phone and began telling me I was never scheduled. She began ranting I never called and accused me of scheduling with a different establishment and that i was not calling the right optometrist. I explained to her the severity of my vision loss and how i had written down all the information and she began saying I was calling her names which I would NEVER do. She then refused to give me the doctor's voicemail, phone number, and said she would give him my information to talk with him and then hung up on me. When I called back I heard her bashing me to another employee before going on hold which she left me on. She was extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful and cared far more about proving me wrong than any attempt to console me about the fact my appointment wasn't properly scheduled. I have been to several optometrists in my life but I have NEVER been treated like this by someone. Let alone waiting and scheduling elsewhere with no idea of when I can be seen by a PROFFESSIONAL business. Do NOT risk waiting if you need to be seen, do not expect professionalism or respect in the event of an incident. I am not sure what issues Ms. Ashley is having in her personal life but it bled into her work environment and here I am without an appointment and demeaned by this establishment. Definitive Review: GO ELSEWHERE, YOU DESERVE RESPECT AND APPRECIATION NOT DISRESPECTED AND DISMISSED AS A LIAR AND FRAUD. God Bless and best of luck with future eye exams. -Justin V.

Me and my children had been customers for over 10 years. During my last visit there the old receptionist began yelling at me because I was talking to my child about something she thought shouldn't been spoken about in public. We were honestly talking about how important it is to get a job, and we also were talking about how she shouldn't do drugs...things like that. Obviously we were there for a very long time. We were the only people in the waiting room, and I am sure we were loud enough for her to hear us, but her reaction was rude, disrespectful, and outright hateful. I wrote to doctor Lalonde regarding this incident and let him know how unprofessional and rude she was to literally yell at me. I told him that he would be losing 4 long-term customers due to the way we were treated. I never received an apology, a letter, or any type of acknowledgement from the doctor. I have never been treated so poorly in my ENTIRE life. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Unbelievably rude staff. I am a manager for citibank, I made an appointment for myself and my son. When I called to confirm they did not schedule me like they told me they did, and when I asked why they didn't, the lady said she is not going to fight with me then hung up on me! I called back and asked who she reported to and she said no one!! I can not believe the doctor at that office let's his staff treat people like that. Terrible staff, can not speak for doctor as I'm waiting for a return call. One thing I do know as a professional and long term manager is this is something that a business owner shouldn't tolerate. Needless to say we will not be returning.

The Worst Place I've been to for Eye Care, Hands DOWN. Customer Service doesn't exist, and just like everyone else is saying, the receptionist is the rudest person you'll ever meet. I've sat and waited over 10 minutes for her to finish a conversation with a co-worker, just to then have me wait an additional 15 minutes before the eye exam, AND THEN I have to wait another 2 WEEKS before I get the glasses? Just use online eye care places and order your persciption. Place is a scam.

I stopped into this place just to make sure they would accept my insurance. Because I use BCBS FEP Vision the receptionist told me that I would have to tell her who my carrier was. I told her it was BCBS, she informed me that BCBS uses local insurance carriers for their vision insurance and that I would have to find out who that was. I ask her if she could check to see if they could find out which carrier I had and if they accepted it and she insisted I do it myself. The next day I went somewhere else and they were able to use their computers to see if they accepted my insurance and they said they did and told me who my carrier was. I can't seem to understand why the receptionist at Pinconning couldn't do the same thing. To me that is poor customer service.

I had no other recorse but to see a former optometrist, while Dr. LaLonde was out sick. Glasses were ordered, script ALL wrong, & even lacking the necessary prism. Glasses were sent back "3" times & still were not correct. Dr. LaLonde re-examined my eyes, ordered my glasses. They are perfect, and I'm thrilled.i can see. I have always respected Dr. LaLonde. Thank you, from my heart.
