Another stellar experience with the Affton location. Showed up at 750am as instructed for my 8am appointment - the doors were locked, lights were off, and staff didn't arrived until 803am. When I went to check in I was told no doctors were scheduled for 12/20. I read my confirmation text message (I also received an email reminder while waiting in the parking lot) and was met with a blank stare before being asked if I would like to reschedule. This experience just barely tops my 2024 experience where I again confirmed my appointment by text only to show up and be told that my confirmation was not received so my appointment was cancelled and after waiting nearly an hour on a Saturday morning they were able to "squeeze me in". There are too many options in the area to settle for a subpar experience.

I wouldn't waste your time at this location. I've had an appointment scheduled for a year, and I received a text, not a call, 2 weeks before the appt that it's been cancelled with NO reason as to why. Not a phone call to the patient offering another day or time. Terrible service and not the way patients deserve to be treated.

Dr.Day was very good. She took her time and explained everything to me. The gentle man. who helped me with my my purchase was awesome. He was very helpful and kind. Thank you!

I have been calling for 4 days to order my contacts and no one answers the phone. I got someone to answer yesterday, but they said they needed to reload my insurance since it had been over 30 days since my exam and asked if she could call me back after doing so... never got a call back! I can't leave a voicemail because it says the mailbox is full. So I keep trying to call.....

I had a 3:10 appointment and got there at 3:22 and they told me I only had a 10 minute window and I would have to reschedule my daughter just picked up her daughter's glasses the other day and she can't see out of them very well and we were going back in for a refit. They didn't even offer to squeeze us in later on in the day. I understand I was late but 12 minutes. It's not a lot of time I personally will not go back there. I'll find a different doctor

Dr. Day is the epitome of kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. She is incredibly thorough in her examinations, taking the time to explain everything clearly and address any questions. What truly sets her apart is how she remembers not only me but also my family, making every visit feel personal and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with warmth and respect. If you are looking for the best eye doctor, look no further--Dr. Day is exceptional in every way.

First, let me stress that this one star is for the staff, not the doctors. I have been a patient here for 3 years. I saw Dr. Day for my first visit and she was wonderful. I just saw Dr. Hafford today and she was also fantastic. (I was very unhappy with the doctor I saw last year but they said she is no longer there.) Dealing with the staff today, however, was honestly one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had. They were unhelpful, gave one-word answers, and contradicted themselves throughout the entire process. They seemed put off by normal questions, and made me feel stupid when I didn't understand something. One girl told me they didn't fill prescriptions, when of course, I knew they did. She said, "No, we've never done that", as the other lady said, "Of course we can do that". And another guy told me their normal procedure is to send my frames in with the prescriptions, even though they didn't do that last time. Really? I'm supposed to go without my glasses for a few weeks to a month??? The worst part of the whole thing was their attitude. I will miss not having Dr. Day and Dr. Hafford, but my wife and I will not be back to this Clarkson Eye Care or any other.

There was some confusion regarding my insurance but that was fixed in a timely fashion. There was a trainee on the computer and a new associate for pretesting so my appointment ran a bit long. It was my day off so I had time to spare and I enjoyed talking to the staff and customers who were waiting. I will definitely go back!
