I am extremely happy with Dr Hirschfeld. He did cataract surgery on both of my eyes and my vision is so much better. I am comfortable again driving at night. It's a miracle. The office is great, and the rest of the staff could not be friendlier. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Doctor Hirschfeld. I came here after I had an injury in my eye. The doctor took me right away and gave me expert treatment. My eye feels perfect. He's a great Doctor. The office staff is great also.

My 77 year old mother called made an appointment they took down all details insurance etc. We show up to the appointment a very unpleasant unprofessional woman with orange yellowish hair received us first told us our insurance would cover 80% 5 mins after then proceeded to tell us that actually it would be 100% out of pocket that it would not be worth it to pay " Couple hundred bucks" Very dismissive very rude & did not want us there. I asked her how come when we called to book the appointment, They took down all info insurance and also secondary insurance info yet they did not disclosed they did not take my insurance as payment. We took the time to drive there for nothing. Her response was we are understaffed and the person who took your call didn't really know. As for the woman who treated my elderly mother so poorly, I hope she gets the proper training. People, especially the elderly deserve better treatment. Good thing about NJ is that there are Doctor offices everywhere!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DON'T BOOK WITH THESE PPL. So many good offices around with friendly welcoming staff who appreciate you and will take better care of you. (So then don't book people take down their insurance and also secondary insurance, proceed to give them an appointment just to tell them once they arrive, oh actually we don't take it.) ( Training your staff properly is a must if you want to last and as it shows in the reviews your staff has been rude and unprofessional for years ) as for finding a Dr I did right up the road In Denville Amazing staff and they take my insurance win win!

I recently went to Dr. Hirschfeld for a second opinion on a serious eye diagnosis from my eye doctor. His office was able to get me a quick appointment given the seriousness. Dr. Hirschfeld was great. He eased my fears and referred me to a glaucoma specialist for another opinion which I got. Both Dr. Hirschfield and the specialist agreed the condition was somewhat misdiagnosed and I do not require surgery at this time. A big relief to me and Dr. Hirschfeld has a new patient!

I had a cataract surgery with Dr. Hirschfeld and the result was perfect. My left eye is now 20/20. The entire experience was great.

Dr. James Hirschfeld did the cataract surgery on both of my eyes 2 weeks ago. I am able to once again read my books and drive at night, two very important tasks for me. Dr. Hirschfeld and his office staff made the pre and post plan very straight forward and followed to a "T."

I have great experience with Dr. James. I am his patient for almost over 10 years now. He is very knowledgeable, humble and encouraging. Has great experience as well. He always welcome and treat everyone with great smile and with respect. I do have lots of respect for him and very great full to have him as my Opthomologist. I do recommend him definitely. His staff is also amazing and caring like him.
