Rocky Mountain Eye Center

Went in for an overdue exam so I could see if my prescription needed an update. They were busy so there was a brief wait, but didn't have to wait as long as a doctors office. Exam went fairly quickly (especially considering the patient load at the time) and entire staff were super nice. Follow-up to buy some new glasses was quick and easy.

Everyone was wonderful, polite, and professional. The issue is the Dr was very late and so everything was rushed once he arrived. I was there for 2 hours. I understand you can not control the weather but you can plan for bad weather and leave for work earlier as my time is valuable as well. The MD never expressed his apology or the inconvenience to his patients.

Both of the techs and Dr. Eikleman were super nice, and I've encourage my husband to seek their services. The office manager was courteous, but otherwise not very welcoming. I've had three visits to the facility in the last nine months. My interactions with her each time have left me feeling cold. The first two visits were quick and I was out within an hour. However, my last visit took nearly two hours. Why?

My children and I are new patients as we are new to the area. We have appointments set out in February, and we are looking forward to them! The young lady that scheduled us over the phone was super sweet and professional, hope to have a similar experience when we go in! Thank you! See you then!

The staff was courteous and pleasant. They handled the social distancing well. I feel I received the most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had. I had a lot of questions and concerns about my eye health. All of it was addressed. I will be a returning customer!

Never going back to this location again. Seen 1 hour past my appointment time for a contact lens fit f/u that only needed to take about 10-15 mins. Could not get my glasses adjusted bc they only have 1 optician and she had to go to lunch. Did not get my Bebe case that should have came with my glasses bc they didn't have any. Oh yea, and the phone doesn't work. Nice enough staff but just overall a trash experience.

I'm very impressed with Rocky Mountain Eye Care. So much so that I am having a third pair of glasses made; for use at my computer desk. I'm a new patient; saw Dr. Nicholas Chariton and worked with Becky, who's a fantastic Optician, to get new progressive and reading glasses ordered; it was a great experience. My one complaint is that phone answering voices lack that friendly tone that makes us feel that you are not bothering the office when we call. Would be better to hear a smile with the first hello and through our calls. (I'm speaking for "us" because I know that it's not about me; I'm sure not everyone has had the same experience)

Front desk staff could not figure out how to process insurance despite mine being one they accept. First they told me that I had to get a referral from a primary care doctor before getting a routine eye exam for my insurance to cover it. That was completely incorrect or a lie. I verified with my insurance company that no referral is needed for routine eye exams prior to coming in since they told me that over the phone. When I corrected them, and asked them to go ahead and put in the insurance claim they couldn't figure out how to do it and the only way to keep my appointment was to pay cash in advance. During the rushed exam, I told them that I did not want my eyes dilated because I had a long drive afterwards. The nurse said she was going to use the lowest dose and that it wouldn't affect my vision. This was very wrong. After leaving my vision was so blurry that I couldn't read street signs so I had to delay my trip for a few hours until my vision had gotten clear enough to see again. I was planning on buying a few pairs of glasses while I was there, but after this experience I took my prescription elsewhere. I ended up ordering 2 pairs of glasses and 2 sunglasses from an online retailer instead. I would absolutely recommend anyone from using this company in the future.
