Eyes on Hudson

My wife and I both go here for eye exams and glasses and they're great. We both go to Dr Rogerson and find her very thorough and thoughtful. The experience is much better than more corporate shops. They have a great selection of glasses and do nice job with fitting you. They have really good front desk service too. They were just extremely helpful with uploading eye exam results to the DMV.

Had a great experience getting an eye exam and picking out new glasses at Eyes on Hudson. Dr. Rogerson gave me a very comprehensive exam and my prescription is spot on! Justin showed the patience of a saint helping me find the right frames. All-in a wonderful experience in their fantastic new space. So conveniently located in Dobbs, in a section of downtown with easy street parking. Their safety protocols are also first rate. Already looking forward to returning for any and all optical needs.

Best optometrist and eyeglass shopping experience I've ever had. Dr. Rogerson is thorough, caring and goes above and beyond to answer questions, making the eye exam process easy and enjoyable. Justin is fantastic, really listens to what you're looking for and has a great eye for what frames fit your face. Their glasses selection is also beautifully curated and the most unique I've ever seen.

I went because Eyes on Hudson looked like they would (a) not be like the rushed, corporate shops I've usually gone to, (b) care about eye health, and (c) have a good selection of contemporary, attractive frames. My expectations were more than met. The relaxed, friendly, positive staff run a shop that actually feels calm and pleasant. And the eye exam from the doctor was the most comprehensive, best-explained one I've had anywhere. I felt like the doctor wasn't just running through a few quick tests, but rather was looking closely and thinking carefully to make sure everything about my eye health and vision was in good shape. And she made sure I understood my eye situation clearly and what my options are. I look forward to buying more eyeglasses there.

First went here for an eye exam for the DMV (License Renewal). Was super easy, took the test and they filled the form and sent it off and took care of everything. All for just a few bucks. Came back a few months later for an eye exam and to get some new glasses. Everyone there is super nice, the Optometrist (and owner, I think?) was great. Very thorough. And the glasses I got are really nice too. Highly recommend this place.

Highly recommend. Really liked how helpful and informative they were with all parts of my appointment. I learned more about my eyes and contact lenses than I had at any previous eye doctor and I've been wearing contacts since the mid-90s. They also have a great selection of frames and I'm super happy with the choice I made. If you are in the market for a new optometrist (or even if you are not) check them out - you will not regret it!

I highly recommend Eyes on Hudson. Dr. Rogerson is an outstanding doctor of optometry who takes great care to provide a truly comprehensive eye exam for her patients. She is a calm, clear and knowledgeable communicator and her exam room set up is modern, clean, welcoming and state of the art. I was so long overdue for a check up, and came in with specific concerns about my eye health in addition to updating my vision prescription. Dr. Rogerson addressed all of my vision concerns, and suggested some strategies and solutions that immediately improved the problems I was experiencing from heavy computer/screen time at work. Justin Landon, the licensed optician, made my fitting for occupational progressives so easy and enjoyable and precise in terms of the fit. Justin also completed my insurance paperwork and could not have been more accommodating. The optical shop is a beautifully designed space, with lots of great inventory, and it was a truly personalized experience, which is so rare to find. I traveled a distance to Dobbs Ferry because I was familiar with Dr. Rogerson from her prior practice in the city. So glad I made the trip. Highly recommended!

I am writing this seeing more clearly than I have in all my 36 years. I have been to many optometrists (at least 10) and have finally found the one that I will be returning to - and making sure everyone I know (in person and on the internet) goes there too. Dr. Rogerson took the time to ask me questions and run tests that no other doctor has ever done. I now have glasses with a prism (which no one had ever told me about before) and feel like a new person. Justin was a gem helping me pick out frames from a selection of brands I had not seen before that were fairly priced and totally chic. Then he showed up with an itemized report of how my insurance would work with what I selected so there were no surprises or gotchas later. When I went to pick up my frames, they were literally perfect. Perfect fit - another thing that has never happened to me before. Also, must be said, the vibe and ambiance (exposed wood, record player spinning, super clean, fab neon logo) are a true homage to all that is great about the River Towns.
