I had a 2:30 PM appointment and received multiple reminders confirming it, and when the office called the day before, I specifically asked about the weather conditions and was told that if they decided to close, they would contact me. Despite this, I drove through heavy snowfall, dangerous road conditions, and multiple accidents on the road, only to arrive at a completely closed office with zero communication from them. No one called, no voicemail was left, no text message was sent, no update was posted anywhere, and the phone went unanswered the entire day. I checked their Facebook page and found no announcements at all. This was completely unprofessional, extremely disappointing, and showed total disregard for patient wellbeing. Later, the owner responded publicly claiming that I was called that morning to reschedule, but this statement is incorrect. I can confirm with 100% certainty that I did not receive any phone call, voicemail, text message, or any form of communication from the office. I have verified phone records proving that no calls or messages were received from their number. What makes this even more concerning is that the staff successfully called me on the correct phone number the day before to confirm my appointment, so there is no reason a voicemail would suddenly be left on a different number. If a voicemail was left, it was clearly left for the wrong patient or to the wrong phone number, which is an unacceptable mistake for any medical office. Their explanation does not match the facts, and this situation reflects a serious communication failure that should never be blamed on the patient.

I can't say much, just their warranty. They don't honor it. I bought about 7 pairs of glasses in less than 2 years for my son and me. And they only exchanged the warranty once. And I don't have any more glasses because they can't honor the warranty anymore.

Love this place....doctor and his staff is top notch. Always great, patient and professional.

My daughter and I have been patients here for years and every visit has been great. Always seated right away, the staff is amazing, and Dr. Bywater is always patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. Thank you for always taking such great care of our family!!!

Dr.Bywater is the best. I had a really great experience during my appointment. Jessica, Daniela, and Cynthia were very kind. Daniela was very welcoming when I came in the office. Cynthia was gentle when she did my pretesting and Jessica was fantastic adjusting my glasses.

I've been seeing doctor bywater for several years now. I initially came to him because I was unhappy with My previous optometrist. Dr. Bywater really takes the time to explain everything and anything. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am so appreciative of him and the staff of Highland Optometry. I recommend them to anyone who is looking.

Amazing doctor, amazing office. Everyone is so kind. Dr. Bywater is very kind, friendly, and of course very knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I know from my field of work that he also works wonderfully with individuals with special needs which is amazing.

Dr. Bywater was wonderful and better helped me understand my symptoms. He was super informative of treatment options. He explained it well for me to understand. The staff are great!
