Larchmont Vision Care

My experiences with this store and Tony have been positive up until today. I tried to return a $400.00 pair of Chanel eyeglasses which I purchased last evening, and Tony refuses to take them back, telling me to come back on Thursday and he will speak to a doctor and ..".they will see what they can do." I understand how he can be frustrated with me as this is not the first pair of glasses I purchased for these lenses. A couple of months ago - against Tony's judgement, I will admit, I purchased a pair of Prada frames for $500.00, which were quite heavy on my face and bruising the bridge of my nose. However I was nervous about returning them because they were the second pair of glasses I had purchased. The first pair cost $100.00, I had them for about a week and he had no problem taking those frames back and fitting the lenses into the Prada glasses. When I went into the store yesterday, I did not expect him to take the Prada glasses back - nor did I expect to be walking out with a $400.00 pair of Chanels, but Tony said they were the only glasses in the store the lenses would properly fit it. (the glasses were $380.00 + $20.00 charge for fitting) I wore them out of the store and by the time I got home, the bridge of my nose was bruised and I had a headache. In Tony's defense, I should have gone with the cheaper, lighter glasses he had initially chosen for me when I first brought the prescription to him, and that was what I expected to do yesterday, Now I am out $900.00 with no viable pair of eyeglasses that I can comfortably wear. Hopefully I will be replacing this review in a few days with some good news.

I highly recommend Larchmont vision care to anyone looking for exceptional eye care and stylish eyewear. Every visit has been nothing short of exceptional. The best service ! And for something so essential as clear vision ! My new glasses were ready the next day ! And my prescription sunglasses ready in less than 2 hours. Larchmont Vision Center will be my go to place for glasses next time again .

My husband and I separately went to Larchmont Vision Care to get our eyes checked and get glasses. Pros: Good optometrist (would give her 4-5 stars). She is efficient and competent. Easy to get appointments including Sat hours. Cons: the store and contents feel a bit dated. Staff's attention to customer service could use some improvements - especially on Saturday(1 star). The store doesn't get packed but when they have more than 2-3 customers, they seem incapable of providing proper customer care. My husband was told his glasses would be ready in 20 min and in fact we ended up waiting for over an hour and then the glasses had a chip in one of the lens (how could they not notice??) so we ended up spending over 2 hours. Had we known, we would have stepped out to get some food in between. There was another customer who was there in the beginning of the visit and then came back to pick up her stuff and saw us and went:"wow, you guys have been here a long time!" no kidding. If you can go there during the day on a weekday which I did for my glasses , service is much better. thus the overall "meh" rating of 3 stars.

Dr. Gina Rossillo, OD is great. I've been a patient at Larchmont Vision Care for several years and I've been completely satisfied with the Doctor's care and advice. Her staff has always been polite and helpful to me. They have a large selection of frames on hand and try to accommodate any request I have ever made. I was surprised to see some of the other reviews because my experience has been much different.

Had the best experience here. Dr Gina was very efficient and sweet! Shes very knowledgeable and made my appt a breeze. She me feel comfortable. Also, the front desk folks were very helpful and patient. Had my appt on a Saturday and got my glasses Monday noon. Would definitely recommend you getting you eyes checked here! I really like the optometrist. She's a nice person. But I have been going here for a few years now and each time the experience is less than favorable. I have tried to chalk it up to circumstances but I think it's just the overall customer service environment. Which means it's standard operating procedure. Today, I took my son to get fitted for new contacts and an already challenging situation became super frustrating. People coming in and out of the fitting room for files, literally turning off the lights without notice or communication (during my son's attempt to put a contact lens in his eye) in order to bring another patient in to run a test and constant interruptions with requests if he wanted to come back for a second session. These were all indications that we were "in the way" and added to my son's anxiety and thua my frustration. Seems like their business model is based solely on sales not product, quality or customer service. Left feeling really dissatisfied. :(

I've been going to see Gina Rosselli for the last 5 years, and I've been very happy there. So much so, that I've also sent my husband, and he too has had a great experience. I find Gina to be very thorough and pleasant. Not sure why there are negative reviews, but every establishment can have a bad day.
