Advanced Eyecare, now part of MyEyeDr.

Recently got my eye exam at Myeyedr at miller place and had a great experience with amazing staff and knowledgeable doctor. I was called in quickly and had a detailed eye exam and Dr. Jahan went over all the findings with me. I got 2 pairs of glasses, one prescription sunglasses and other progressive for all distance everyday glasses. I am very pleased with my vision and their service. I will be coming back every year!

From the moment you walk into MyEyeDr you are greeted with professionalism, made the experience impressive right away. Dr. Jahan was warm and knowledgeable she answered all of my questions with great detail! The staff in the location was energetic, and everyone seems genuinely happy to be working there. This practice does the most comprehensive eye exam and has a very stylish selection of frames. Thank you everyone at Miller Place MyEyedr, you will certainly be seeing me again. (:

Very professional and friendly service. Dr. Nusrat Jahan and associates at this location are very efficient and professional. Denise, who is the associate that helped me select my new frames and lenses was beyond patient and kind explaining everything so we understood the process and what to expect next.

Was going to Visionworks for years with no issues. I decided to go to MyEyeDr. because they were covered under my insurance and would think my our of pocket expense would be cheaper. (Visionworks was not covered). Generally, I wear contacts and only wear glasses at night. I recently went to MyEyeDr. In Miller Place NY and had an appointment. I had an eye exam told them that I do not typically wear glasses. After my exam I sat with someone named Tomi who said she was helping train the staff since they just took over the office. You could tell there was a lot of confusion but Tomi was trying to direct all the staff. Tomi told me it would be more beneficial to my to get new glasses apply my insurance to that and pay out of pocket for my contacts. I was hesitant but said OK and asked how much for contacts out of pocket would be. Tomi said $150 for the year and the glasses would be $77. I did it paid and left. When I went to go pick up my glasses and contacts I was told the contacts were $350 for the year. I told them I already paid and they said that was just for the fitting. I feel that this is extremely deceitful and was not the way it was explained. If I knew that I would have applied my insurance to my contacts and not get glasses. This establishment is extremely "sales driven" I would have never done that. You need to make the customer aware of all charges before having them commit to that expense. Almost $600 vs. $250 at Visionworks. Beware of this establishment

I've been going to Dr. Modesto for years ever since I was a kid with no issues. Ever since the change and Dr. Modesto leaving this place has become absolute garbage. I just had to walk out of my appointment today being called a thief. I took no prescription from them so what am I exactly stealing? They said their time as if their time is any more important than anyone else else's time. They think they're better than everyone else and can take everyone's money. They tried to charge me over $1000 for a year supply of contacts. When I asked why so much Mike said they are $120 a 90 pack box, which equals $960. I looked up the price of the contacts I wanted. Bausch and Lomb Bio True and they are $60 a 90 pack box which is $480 for the year. Which is exactly how much I paid last year before I got the rebate with Dr. Modesto. They tried to charge me double. When I called Mike out on it he said you can just do the contact lens exam which will be $300, I've never had to pay that price with Dr. Modesto because it was included since I bought the lens from the provider. I even used my last pair of contacts for their eye exam, they couldn't even provide a fitting without using my property and then tried to charge me for it. I explained this to them as it was on the piece of paper from my insurance company that they gave me. They made up a baloney price for the eye exam after I didn't want to buy the contact lens through them. So Mike called his coworker over and they both said that's what the website says, so I asked them what CPT codes are you billing and they both said they are not sure. Upon further investigating, they found out that they were charging me $80 for a regular glasses lens exam even though it's 100% covered under my insurance, even if I didn't get framed lens from them unlike contact lenses, which the exam is covered if I buy them from the provider, which is on the paperwork, they gave me from my insurance as I explained to them. So I walked out saying I don't need anything from you guys and they called me a thief for stealing I said what exactly am I stealing. I have no prescription from you and they said their time as if their time is any more valuable than the rest of societies. Also if anyone has fallen victim to their scam, I'm sorry but you got robbed because this place steals as they are the thieves. Look at the attached picture from my insurance that they are in network with (confirmed as I spoke to my insurance company and my insurance company called this office). They are stealing from Miller Place and need to change or close up shop because clearly the community is displeased with the change in ownership given the other terrible reviews.

Recently I visited Advanced Eyecare taken over by MyEyeDr- it was a great experience. The Doctor was very welcoming, so the staffs are. They did my eye exam and got a brand new glass. The glass collections are great, ranging from Oakley, Raybans and Canada goose. The price was reasonable, I am glad that I went to this place. 100% recommending to go for your exam.

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. They told me my insurance only covers one pair of glasses despite me calling them and confirming that I do get two pairs. And to top it off I paid 60$ for tinted glasses that don't even tint. What a horrible experience and a waste of my time and money. Not to mention the wife has a horrible attitude. Don't even waste your time going to these people. I wouldn't even recommend them to someone I hate. Go to Davis vision works in rocky point.

I was very pleased with "MyEyeDr." I have been wearing eyeglasses since I was 5 years old so I think I have the right to say I have experience in the optical field because I'm in my 60's now a girl can not give away her actual age, lol. Dr. Jahan is excellent she is very professional explains everything patiently. Makes you feel very comfortable. The staff very friendly courteous and knowledgeable. The office manager Mr. Joon has a great work ethic along with the girls and gentleman that work there. I would recommend my family and friends to visit this wonderful establishment, so they can receive the wonderful service i was given.!!
