Center for Sight

Center for sight is very disappointing, the Drs were rude and snotty. When I went in for my exam I would flinch because I didn't know what the lady was doing she wouldn't tell me. And she would get mad and say we now have to do this again because you moved. Don't move ok? I was nervous. And then after my appointment another woman said we will call you when they come in it will be about 2 weeks. I said okay and left. Well 2 weeks passed and I decided to try and call them. I got a hold of someone at a different office. He was very nice and said I'll write the Drs a note and see if they are in for you and have them call you back , great. I waited about a week no call so I tried again about 3 or 4 different times. I only got the machine. So I continued to leave a message and hopes they call back. I tried one last time before thinking of just stopping by to get them. Finally a woman answered and said I will ask them for you and call you back , I thought yeah okay no you won't. I was right. So I got a ride there to pick them up finally. And the woman at the desk said in a annoyed voice. Do you have an appointment? I said no. I'm here to pick up my glasses another woman said shelby? I said yes. And she says I have your glasses right here. We called you on the 10th and said they were here. I said oh I never got the message. She said well here you go do you want to try them on? I tried them on and they fit great I love them. I also looked through my messages and I don't delete important messages. They never called me at all to tell me they had come in. I will not go back. Very rude and very unprofessional in their part.

This place is terrible. NOT focused on patient care at all. Many of the employees are rude and really don't know what they're talking about. The docs are nice and seem knowledgeable, but are pretty unwilling to help you unless you pay hundreds of dollars for something that would be covered by insurance at any other clinic. Shameful and shady.

These people are ridiculous! I had an eye exam when I get there they refused to see me saying I had a previous balance of 95$! I am on Medicaid and SSI with full coverage thru Fidelis !!! I've been going here for 4yrs!! THEY LOST A PATIENT OVER 95$

This place is a sham. What medical practice would coerce a new patient on the first visilt to accept a questionable treatment that is very expensive and not covered by insurance? Answer... a shady place.

Had eye injections for diabetes before caderac surgery then had surgery on right eye and now I have so many floters that I can Not read because letters are missing in my right eye l told them I didn't want my left eye done and so they threw me out of

Professional, friendly, and a personality that made getting the proper pair glasses I needed a fantastic experience. Like in the past where I got glasses, I felt Doris sincerity in truly wanting to help me. Even though busy, she made me feel as though I was her only client. I would have no problems telling anyone, if you need glasses see Doris at the Center for Sight!

Great customer service! Doris took the reigns on a confusing mess from another company. She handled it professionally and made getting mine and my girlfriends contacts simple and easy. They have a great environment with good energy and willing to help. Would never go anywhere else again!

Went to my appointment on July 9th, 2024, and they let a person who was still training do my eye exam alone. She was very unprofessional and left without saying a word 3 times. While doing the exam she wouldn't tell me how to set my head on the machines but she almost yelled at me when I wasn't complying with the things I wasn't told. When trying to submit my eye exam, it wouldn't work so she walked out and said "I quit, I'm done, I quit." And it made me feel amazing about picking center for sight in Ogdensburg to give me the ability to see. Everything has been turned "digital" at this office so they only use 2 rooms in the very front and the rest of the center is dark, quiet, and unused. During meeting with the eye doctor over a zoom call to flip through lens options, most of them towards the end were very hard to pick a "better" one from the two, but they were both still blurry. The doctor also never mentioned my prominent lazy eye and then said I only had to wear my glasses when I was purposefully trying to focus in a classroom or reading setting. This is a COMPLETE contradiction to any of my other appointments here because I have always been told my glasses are needed all day, every day. When concerns were brought up with staff, we were met with alot of excuses. I was told the huge difference in prescription was "compensation" and I was also told to "wait a couple weeks and see how they work". After more arguing, they gave me two options. Either go to the closest physical doctor in Watertown, or order the glasses anyways and schedule a "recheck" for right after they are supposed to come in case they don't work. Most of the staff was quite dismissive with me and my mom's concerns with how much my prescription has improved in the last couple years when I am not even wearing glasses currently due to them breaking. One of their favorite dismissive lines was "wear them for a couple weeks and come back if they don't work". Over all, center for sight has made me 1. Scared to go to other eye appointments 2. Worried for a month straight while I wait for them to make my glasses that might not work 3. Extremely stressed.
