I've had outstanding experiences with Mountain Eye Associates. Beginning with the front office staff in making appointments over the phone and at office, they are always very pleasant and eager to please, very professional. The experience continues with the nurses and assistants in doing tests, etc. And then there is Dr. Denwood! She has treated me for my cataracts in both eyes and has been exceptional. I cannot say enough, good things about her. She is truly an asset to her profession and the practice. She has taken her time with me and is always talking me through the entire cataract procedure, which put me at ease. She also takes plenty of time with me in office followup appointments. She has even called in evenings, after a procedure to see how I was doing. Recently she advised me she was leaving the practice to accept a new position with East Carolina University. A loss for Mountain Eye and a huge win for East Carolina. I wish her nothing but the best in her new venture and thank her for all she's done for me.

Dr. Cleveland did an amazing job!!! I put off having cataract surgery for several years because of fear of the unknown. Dr. Cleveland put me at ease on my first visit and I have since had cataracts removed from both eyes. Both surgeries were painless and the next day my vision had been restored to 20/25 and a followup visit showed my left eye at 20/20. The world is a brighter and more colorful now!!! Thank you Dr. Cleveland!!!!!

What a wonderful office! The eye exam was done great and Dr. Deacon was wonderful as well as Alex who did the testing. Then the wonderful Melba in the optical department was an angel. Her kindness and help was above and beyond. Also Ian was helpful in the optical department with questions. I highly recommend them. I have never had better care for my eyes in all the years I have been seeing eye doctors in the many different areas I have lived in.

I just called to inquire about getting my adult son with special needs who is also nonverbal an eye appointment. The young lady, Britney, that helped me stated that their office has experience working with people with special needs but recommended another provider in Asheville that is better equipped to provide care for people who are nonverbal. I have called places in the past that have said they are experienced and when we arrived, didn't have a clue how to interact with my son. I appreciate a practice that clearly puts the needs of the community they serve over filling their caseload. I will be coming to see you for MY next eye exam. :)
