If I could give a zero, I would. June 2024, wife went for an "eye exam". Few days later, called to get quoted for their price on contact exams for contact lens. Was told, "Oh you already paid for it, the $35." So came in for a free trial. Called a few days later to let them know, it didn't fit right and doesn't work. And then was told that the contact lens for my eye was on back ordered and they don't know when it will arrive. Months later, called back and they still haven't gotten anything. The lady answered the phone said she will check on it. Never heard back. Months go by it is 2025. *note* life is pretty busy for us and we allowed a few months for shipping and for them to get their orders right. Called back in 2025, was told the lens trial has not showed up and was told I will get a call by end of day. Never heard back. Today I called, and now my wife has to come back for an exam because it's almost a year now? How is it our fault when we have been waiting!!! And once again, was told "Doctor isn't in today. I will call back next monday" blah blah. Excuses. Know what I smelled? I smelled a scam to get you to use your insurance to cover the small clinic charge that they are allowed to charge you. And then leave you hanging until you have no choice but to pay out of pocket if you want to continue service with them for your eye needs. And now the lady appears to not know my wife's situation. Do not say you will call back and never do. Do not say you will check on something for someone if you will never follow up. We trust people. We trust the system. Now, we will be annoying Karens to bug people until they give us an answer. Waiting for 1 whole year is unacceptable. How is it my wife's fault? Never coming back. And will never recommend this small town eye clinic to anyone. Good luck !

My family and I have always been to Dr Shaver for our eye care and have had the best of care from him. He and his office help have always been very pleasant. Have several times carried on conversations that was very pleasant with them. Been seeing them for yrs. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Very pleasant and professional.

Read before you go!! (The Staff Threaten To KICK Children OUT!) Pro's: You can get an appointment here within 2 weeks! They will check your insurance immediately (and they take Medicaid). The doctor is great! Con's: Watch OUT for the lady working at 'Station #1'! She is Straight-Up NASTY to SO Many People (to staff & customers) ! When I was there, she sent my underage son back to take his test. And She sent me to the waiting room. He didn't know where I went. After his test, she told him, "ok now go get your Mom and check out" He replied, "I would but I don't know where she she went?" She snapped back, "watch the attitude young man, OR I WILL THROW YOU OUT!" He was so shocked! He is NOT a disrespectful young man. He does NOT give attitude. (I'm not saying that because I'm his mom). He was scared and did not know how to react! He finally told me what she said, after we left. Honestly, I will never go back, just because of her! Consider yourself warned!

I drove far to the appointment and was told that I didn't qualify because it was too soon. They should have confirmed that prior to my appointment. I also sat there for 30 minutes and there was no one there. It was also a very dirty place. I would never go back.

Ive had fantastic experiences with Dr Shaver. He's sorta seems like a man of few words - he gives you the answer to your question and nothing more. While he may not exactly be a barrel of laughs - he is extremely smart and really tries to water down the issues in a way you can understand (a great sign of any seasoned doctor). Plus, Dr Shavers office staff are second to none and so nice and professional.

My mom has went to him for years and he and his staff have always been very friendly..I highly recommend him.

They gave me a bent frame for glasses and told me it was my place to replace them bad service. You will get better service at the eyecare place in Walmart.

Answered any questions I had and it was overall a great experience.
