Had a great experience at Visionworks Latham location! Staff were very friendly and helpful with my selection of glasses and sunglasses. Picking up my glasses was just as pleasant and even had a few laughs with the staff. I switched to this Latham location after being disappointed with my usual location. Thank you to Sam and your staff for making purchasing glasses a pleasant experience.

I had the pleasure of visiting Visionworks in Latham NY today. I was helped quickly and the staff was friendly. I specifically worked with Dillon Oakley for frames and lenses. He was knowledgeable and patient with all my questions making the process very smooth. He even helped me with a second pair of glasses. Great employee. I would give him my highest recommendation.

Really slow service. They should fire all the staff here. Takes 2 hours to get pair of glasses. This is just insane. Staff are untrained and they doesn't know what they are doing .

Jae was friendly and helpful. I had to adjust my daughters glasses and they helped right away. Went early at opening seemed like a good time to go.

Scheduled the appointment online which was great and everyone was nice. Was told what my insurance covered when checked in. Found the frames I liked and was explained the process to get contacts. The doctor was wonderful as well. Received a copy of my prescription. All in all great! Got the next appointment for contacts all set up!

I need reading glasses, but the prescription glasses I've purchased from this shop have repeatedly failed to provide clear vision correction--even after multiple visits and attempts to fix the issue. I kept returning over the years mainly out of convenience, despite being consistently disappointed with the quality. In the end, I've had better results with inexpensive $5 over-the-counter reading glasses from places like Costco or Sam's Club, which meet my needs far more effectively and at a fraction of the cost. What's most frustrating is the customer service. When I've gone back to raise concerns, staff have been dismissive and have treated me as though the problem is my fault, rather than taking my complaint seriously or checking whether the glasses were made correctly. Overall, I found the service unprofessional and I would not recommend this shop. *********************** I want to add an update because Visionworks did follow up and ultimately resolved my issue. Sam Jones took my complaint seriously, explained what was causing the "rainbow"/reflection problem, and went above and beyond to make it right. He provided a complimentary pair with a different type of lens and a full-rim frame, and the difference is immediate--clear, comfortable vision like proper reading glasses, without the distracting reflections, eye strain, or headaches I was experiencing. I truly appreciate Sam's professionalism and follow-through. My earlier frustration came from feeling dismissed, but his support changed the outcome and restored my confidence.

Scheduling was great, who ever scheduled my daughter and I was kind and even was able to get my self in as well. That's where I should have stopped and not bothered having an appointment for my self. When we walked through the door only 1 person (Marissa) had the decency to say hi how can we help you today. Marissa had gotten my daughter and I all set up. When it was our turn Marissa brought us to the back and ran a few tests and explained everything clearly, but most of all she engaged in conversation , listened to concerns and was happy to help with any questions we had the entire time. Once she passed our info on to the doctor our experience dropped horribly from there. I'm sure Dr Alexander is good at what he does but he definitely is not a people person. The dr did not listen to anything I had to say, he was very dry, direct and non responsive he seemed to get agitated when i mentioned contacts. When it came time to choose frames it was a 50/50 experience. My daughter was helped eventually which I believe was because it was getting close to closing time. I had mentioned 3 times I was getting glasses as well. And that was looked over. I walked over to look at frames but by that time I was to annoyed to figure out what I wanted. Again there was no interest in assistance. So i paid for my daughters exam and glasses as well my exam and told them not to worry about glasses for my self. As we headed out the only person to acknowledged us again was Marissa who thanked us and wished us a good night. I'm heading back to lens crafters today to get a new eye exam and pick up a few pairs of glasses and contacts. This is more for the customers than the company as I see the same responses from customer service so I have little faith that this will go anywhere.

Easy, Fast, Professional. Needed glasses and contacts. These folks were able to help me figure out where my insurance would help, get my eye exam and pick out new frames in less than an hour. One week later I had my glasses and contacts. Extremely helpful, friendly and professional folks here.
