Dr. Eric Ward, O.D.

I am visiting from Boston and was having issues with my vision. Dr Wards office was able to get me in the same day as an add on. I was concerned because of vision changes and because I had to fly back to Boston in a few days. Dr Ward was able to discover the problem right away and was incredibly helpful with explanations, treatment suggestions of care needed for going home. His doctor "bedside" manor was outstanding. He took the time to explain my new condition and clear me for flying. He is an amazing doctor but his caring behavior coupled with knowledge is really hard to find in today's doctors. I have never written a review but had to for this doctor. He is amazing. Thank you so much for all the care. Office staff was so kind and helpful. Great team work! Will defiantly recommend. 5 stars

WOW! what an amazing office. Dr. Eric Ward was so nice, listened to my questions and answered all of them. He made me feel comfortable and was so kind. Karen was very nice and so sweet. Heather was awesome, really knew her job and asked all the right questions. She made me feel great during all the tests I took. Ashley helped me to pick out my super cute glasses. The office is very nice, clean and such a great selection of glasses. All of the office girls were so nice. Highly recommend.

Dr Ward is such an amazing person he is compassionate and caring. He genuinely cares about his patience. I have cancer and he was very concerned about how I was doing. He treats you like a human being not someone in another file. Thank you for being a kind , caring person

I would give zero stars to this company if I could. I would also not recommend making an appointment with Dr. Eric Ward. The 1st appointment I had in 2023, I waited 45 minutes as he was running behind. I decided to give them another chance as I understand all professions can run behind and he was very thorough and kind. My next yearly appointment was scheduled for Jan 16 2024. I scheduled a half day off work, his office called the morning of my appointment and cancelled because Dr. Ward's nanny was in a car accident. Understandable reason to cancel and the office did reschedule for Jan 31st. I took another half day off. His office (Lorain Oh) called again the morning of my appointment to cancel and reschedule. I declined to reschedule and decided to go to Lang Optical in Elyria. Dr. Ward does appear to offer his services to a lot of people in need homeless, veterans, medically underserved etc, so a pat on the back to him and the stellar human that he is. However, if he is going to be in a profession that requires him to be available for people of all walks of life, he may want to have a back up team that can take on his patients when he needs to cancel or not take on so many patients. Dr. Ward is the best. I wouldn't even consider going to any other doc. He actually listens to you and helps to alleviate your concerns and does everything possible to find a solution. And the rest of the staff are awesome too!

Genuinely the nicest guy. His staff is very personable and he was very polite and helpful with all of my questions. I just had my first appointment with him today and found out I will be needing my first ever pair of glasses. I was very nervous and he made me feel comfortable and eased my anxiety.

I had an apt. With Dr. Ward this am, I was refused a medical exam due to my claustrophobia. I am not able to wear a mask due to this mental illness, YET, I was denied medical attention. What happened to First do no harm. Your response not withstanding, I was able to see another Dr. who did not require me to wear a mask. (As the Governor stated on the Covid Website) He found a very large cataract. I am now in need of surgery, to wit, the eye surgeon also does not require a mask. Keeping in mind that I have had many Covid tests these past few months due to other procedures needed. As I explained to your staff, (your very unkind staff) I am not sick. I am sorry that this pandemic has you so frightened that you would refuse treatment. Thankfully, I was able to get the help I need to avoid permanent damage to my left eye. Perhaps you should take a more personal interest in your patients. Not te cold response I got from your staff.

Dr. Ward was very professional and explained the pros and cons of different types of contacts in detail. I felt equipped to make a decision after his thorough explanation and his knowledge allowed me to feel confident about my choice.
