Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, Loudonville

The doctors and technicians have always been professional and kind. However, the front desk receptionist can be extremely rude. For example, we go into to look at some frames for my daughter's glasses. We did not have an appointment but all she wanted to do was try on some frames and shop around. Upon walking in, the receptionist said that there would be no one to help us with the frames because they were gone for the day. I informed her that we were just looking and it would not be an issue if someone could not help us today. Have you ever gotten the feeling that you are bothering someone for having to have them get up from their chair? That's the exact tension that was present. I'm not inconsiderate for walking into your place of business to purchase a product. Replace the receptionist and I would give it a five star.

I am rather bummed about my experience here. To start the doctor was great with my kids. Especially since my younger daughter has apraxia. And he was also able to fix my older daughter's prescription from LensCrafters. The front desk woman is rather Curt, but other than that it was a positive experience. But picking up glasses became difficult for us since they are a half an hour away and have odd hours. Two of the technicians were sweet to buy some girl scout cookies. We said that we would deliver them when we picked up my daughter's glasses. We couldn't make it in there in time to pick up the glasses when they left a message to get them. Next thing we know, we get a phone call from Girl Scout Council in Columbus for non delivery of cookies. Somehow I guess that they thought that I was going to leave my already paid for $600 pair of glasses there in order to keep their 5 boxes of cookies? When I got there to deliver the cookies the head desk woman didn't even greet me. She looked me up and down and asked if I had all of the cookies. Then she asked where the order was for on technician and then took that box to the back. She came back and picked up the rest of the cookies for the other technician. Then told her to check her order to make sure that it was correct. Did she expect that I was trying to trick them? She then sat down at her desk and didn't acknowledge me again. When I asked for the glasses she asked for the name. Then nothing again. Another technician came out with the glasses. I said goodbye and to have a nice day and left. I was so confused. I would have liked to get them their cookies immediately as I got them, but it wasn't possible, sorry. But wow, over 5 boxes of cookies. Wow. So, I guess we will find somewhere else for the next time we need these services. It is so unfortunate.

I've been going to this eye doctor for a long time. They are both so friendly and caring doctors! I've always had a very positive experience here. They have gone far and beyond the normal doctor.
