Holdenville Eye Center

Dr. Jay LaValley has been my Optometrist for almost 30 years now. So when he stopped seeing patients in Henryetta of course I followed him to Holdenville. Yet today, for my first appointment there, after receiving 5 text messages in 3 days reminding me of my appointment, driving over 38 miles in 45 minutes, and missing a half day of work, I was told after checking in that I wouldn't be seeing Dr. LaValley, but another doctor! I refused, stating " I only see Dr LaValley and he is the reason I came all this way". Unfortunately his staff were far less than considerate or compassionate, and on the edge of rude. Three girls, all sitting with nothing to do in front of them, offered no excuse, when I asked why they couldn't have let me know before I drove here. This was not an error, this was inconsiderate, non-caring staff who get paid whether they do their job or not, so they didn't bother to notify the patient of the changes or make amends. 30 years is a long time, but your front office is a reflection of what the medical staff thinks and feels about the patients, and I was completely treated wrong this time!

I went in with my mom about a month ago and our experience was less than pleasant. They told my mom she needed bifocals but the lady didn't ring them up as bifocal and also said the doctor didn't put down she needed the bifocals. At check out the total was $800 before insurance! When my mom got the glasses they were not her prescription and couldn't see out of them at all. They told her that was normal and it should get better with wear. It didn't. The glasses were a completely different prescription that what she needed. They told her to keep the glasses and schedule another appointment. They were never helpful in office and honestly made me feel quite stupid. It's not worth your time or money! Nothing like being cut off in mid sentence by an employee at the front desk. The new people they hired are rude and should let the patient finish what they have to say. This is not the first time an employee has been this way to a patient. I hope the owner of the Eye Center likes losing Patients.

The little girl running the desk is arguably one of the rudest and most disrespectful ladies I've ever had to deal with. I've never had to leave a bad review before but I've got to this time. My fiance will be finding a new eye doctor.

Dr. Hardgrave is amazing. He is kind and courteous and listens to his patients. The staff is also friendly and very helpful. They had an issue with authorizing my insurance, but with a quick phone call the staff got the issue resolved and placed a rush order on my eyeglasses. I would highly recommend them!

I love this place! They are so friendly I come here all the way from Seminole! They have fixed my glasses for no charge and said just come back to them anytime I need anything so that's exactly what I did! I came here for my new glasses and my eye exam and they fixed my old glasses again for free they are awesome

Rook 8 months to get my glasses.And when finely got them they didn't even give me a case said didn't have them. Paid in full at time of order they every month ask are glasses in.8 months unbelievable. Don't go here the worst

Its been a month and still no glasses. Everything was fine up until they made the glasses. Ugh this is so frustrating. The assistant wrote the wrong info and now here we are waiting for the correct pair of glasses. The office staff is not too organized and communication would be a plus with each other and the patient!!!!!! UPDATE:went to pick up the glasses today 4/3/19 and its not what was picked out. I've never had this problem before not sure what the issue is. So fed up with the whole situation. So maybe in six months the right pair of glasses will be ready!!!!
