First visit with myself and my two children under 12 - Dr bacon came highly recommended as dealing well with kids and absolutely did not disappoint. Spectacular with both my kids, even thru telling my youngest he needed full time glasses for the first time, Dr Bacon was just amazing. I never thought my son would be excited to wear glasses at 8yo but here he is, super excited! Thx to Dr Bacon and the amazing front desk team for a great first visit!

I got my glasses a few months ago from a Young lady named Merissa Helped me through the process of picking my frames and explained the lenses options to me amazingly Super thorough and one glasses came in adjusted them for me perfectly! Definitely recommend will return

To begin, our son (who is now 2 and a half) was born with eye sight problems and has always struggled to function without the use of glasses. We noticed immediately and got him in as early as 5 months old for him to receive his first pair of glasses. The doctor did their job and assisted us enough to get to this point, hence this review not being 1 star. The service was alright and we bought a pair of glasses off of them, which was absurdly expensive, but they worked. Although, one major issue we had with them was that the lens popped out SO EASILY. Especially for glasses that are meant for a young toddler who does not have the know-how to be careful with his glasses. It was the recent exchange we had with them that REALLY made us decide against going here again. About a month ago, one of his lens' popped out and we lost them. They were already scratched to hell so naturally, we went here to use our warranty to get new lens for him. They said they would order it and put it on rush because they "know the little guy needs them". They said that normal time frame is 10 business days and that that would be the MAXIMUM amount of time it would take but "probably not". 10 business days later, without hearing from them I give them a call. They tell me that the lab messed them up and had to redo them... okay. We wait some more. Another week passes. Still nothing. I call again. He tells me that the glasses are still not in. At this point, my son is struggling because he depends on these glasses. I ask him if there's anything they can do to help compensate for this massive period of time he is waiting for them, due to their error. He tells me that customers are responsible for buying their own pair of backup glasses. So essentially, boo-hoo figure it out. This back and forth of us calling to only be told they needed to redo the glasses at the lab happened multiple times. In the end, the lab messed up the lens 3 times. It took a month to get his glasses. The cherry on top was that when the glasses were finally ready, we found out around 4:30. We asked if they could wait MAYBE 5 minutes past closing time and they refused, so we had to ask a friend to pick them up for us. They refused to wait 5 minutes past their closing time after we had waited a MONTH past when they said we'd get our glasses. Overall, they had given us little to no communication, compassion for our situation and when we had prompted them for opportunities to show these qualities they didn't. In the end, we really didn't receive the treatment you'd think you'd get from going to a local establishment like this. UPDATE: After reviewing our complaint, they sent a very heartfelt apology letter that felt sincere. The type of thing you'd expect from a local service. They also sent him a brand new pair of glasses; frame, lens and case, for the inconvenience. I changed my rating from 2 to 4 because although this experience did still happen, they righted their wrongs and admitted responsibility for them. Something I have the utmost respect for. To the Erie Shores Eyecare Team, Thank you very much for your letter. That really helped us and we appreciate the action taken. It made us feel seen and cared for.

As someone who's had glasses their entire life you never really get good news at the eye doctor. But, Always a great experience here. Friendly staff, good selection of frames.

Was there for myself and my son last year. Was nothing special to stand out as far as service. My sons apt was in 2024 and when I was leaving the staff pressured to book and apt for the following year. I told them I wouldn't know my schedule but they insisted that as time got closer I could change dates as necessary. Apt booked for Oct 14 2025. I called a while back to bring my now two year old and changed dates to 21st as I was not available on the 14th... My youngest is 5 months old and has been in and out of hospital. Been waiting 2 months for a specialist apt in London and the first one available is October 21st. I found out on the 8th of October in the afternoon. When I called today, October 9th at approx 145 I let the women who answered the phone know "my youngest has a specialist apt at the same time in London so I'll need to reschedule" to which her response was "hmmm". I let her know that once he had this apt I wouldn't know exactly when his surgery would be booked. Her response was "the new appointment will need to be kept". Her tone wasn't friendly. I was so annoyed I told her to just cancel. As soon as my tone changed she became nicer. Saying we could book something and see. I told her to just cancel them. I won't be back here. There are plenty other options to book for my family. I should have known by how pressured I felt last year to book for this year. One thing I love about this small town of Essex is the small town vibes. Usually the best customer service. I do understand that this is a business and they want appointments kept because that's how they make money.... But zero compassion that I'm talking about my child needing surgery .. respectfully, his specialist appointment is far more important than a check up at the eye doctor with no concerns. I recommend being more understanding of your patients and their life /scheduling conflicts.

Very responsive to critical situation. Appreciated their professional attitude and care. Suggested new technology to verify condition behind the eyes. In this case my personal concerns were put to rest.
