Dr. Joshua Barnes made time in his schedule to remove a piece of debris from my eye. I'm squeamish about my eyes but his reassuring professionalism helped me feel at ease and my eye feels SO much better now. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Welburn and as with previous appointments she was very friendly, efficient and thorough. Asked if there were any new concerns then she reviewed, with me. and compared my current results to my previous. When I arrived I met with Jenn who helped me with different styles of glasses and even took my picture wearing different frames :) Jodie and Sara were both so very nice and then after my testing Katrina adjusted my glasses so quickly WOW! I was so surprised at how easily she did it. And Taylor what can I say, it's always a pleasure to see her. I just wanted to express my gratitude at how welcomed and looked after I felt by everyone. It was really refreshing.

Had a lovely experience with the front desk at Renfrew Eye Clinic yesterday. The receptionist took the time to understand my concern, and help create a plan to address. It was obvious from this interaction that this office has a culture that is very caring and patient-health focused. Looking forward to visiting as a patient soon.

Don't bother if you are a new patient. They are completely booked up for 1 year. No appointments with any optometrist until next Feb when calling Jan 30 2025.

I am a new patient and had the pleasure of having an appointment with Dr. Barnes. I have never had a better experience. In fact it was the first eye exam in my life (I'm 45) where I walked away and felt truly taken care of by the doctor and all the staff I dealt with. You guys were absolutely amazing and I'll be back! Thank you!!

We went for an eye exam here and have been going here for years. Never a problem till our last visit which was with a Dr. Rowley who is not even our eye doctor. Dr. Humphrey is. We asked for a copy owing for the eye exam to submit to insurance and she refused to give us one. Her exact words "I have dealt with many insurance companies and they do not cover for eye exams. It isn't our procedure here we do not give a bill for the eye exam to insurance ". She also wanted her money up front and on the spot! Not only did insurance cover our glasses and the eye exam, speedy too direct deposit! But when they heard what this doctor had told us they covered the full eye exam when normally they would only cover 80%. They said given our poor experience with an eye doctor that was not even mine that they would be covering the full exam in full. They even stated after hearing her words for themselves would we fill out a survey to rate how we were treated as they like to hear how providers treat their customers. We filled it out. This doctor also smugly tried to say we owed her money from years ago yet insurance had records of no complaints and her accepting their money in years prior. On top I had already picked out glasses for myself months prior to this visit and my child but according to staff I had to pick out a new pair as they lost the pair I picked out on file. They could not explain why they had the pair on file for my daughter and where mine disappeared. When insurance came in naturally I was excited to pay the bill get my glasses and be done with this place. I was told a week and regardless of Christmas the staff who worked with us to pick out the glasses believed it would only take about a week. Well here we sit with the money the were looking for but yet they still do not have our glasses ready! We will not be dealing with this doctor again after this experience. I also want add this doctor smugly told us that we must pay her up front for insurance to pay anything. Our insurance is not even interested in their paperwork we were simply asked to hold it for a period of 12 months. We did not need any paperwork whatsoever to submit the claim we found and were told we instead could hold onto all paperwork for twice months or give them the paperwork once we actually have our glasses. Never allow a doctor to try to tell you how the show works with your own personal insurance.

Today I was pleasantly surprised at the eye clinic. Having broken the nose pad on my glasses, and after goggling the cost of repair, I was fully prepared to pay $25 -$50 .Iwas pleasantly surprised to get complimentary service with a smile. Well done Renfrew Eye Clinic.for the repair.

Amazing service. The staff here are so kind and caring. We were in here about a year ago and they were amazing with my kids. We will be back to pick out some new glasses soon! thanks so much!
